We’re thrilled to share that Graide has been named in BusinessCloud’s EdTech 50 for 2026. Excitingly, we’ve climbed from #44 to #18 in this year’s ranking. The EdTech 50 celebrates the UK’s most innovative companies creating technology for education and workplace development. The final list was decided by a combination of reader votes and an expert judging panel, and we’re proud to be recognised alongside so many businesses helping to shape the future of learning. A big thank you to BusinessCloud, the judges, and everyone who voted for us. To view the list: https://lnkd.in/eXiQymiA

Really nice moment yesterday with a friend of Graide sharing this from Kortext Live! Toby Vaughn Kidd speaking on Driving Learning Innovation with AI and it's brilliant to see us being highlighted. University of Exeter are currently piloting Graide via our Jisc programme, so it’s encouraging to see assessment recognised as a strategic priority alongside personalised learning and academic workflow support. There’s real momentum around assessment becoming core AI infrastructure. It's sparking exciting conversations with institutions & strategic partners and we’re excited to see how the future of education will be built collaboratively and responsibly together. Thanks Daniel S. Stanhope

  • New partnership announcement! We’re excited to be collaborating with NCFE on a series of innovation pilots exploring how AI-assisted marking and feedback can support learners, teachers, and awarding organisations. Together, we’ll be evaluating how automated marking can: • Support learners with high-quality formative practice and feedback • Reduce marking workload for teachers • Provide useful insights to support human moderators and markers The pilots will run in a safe, controlled environment, with trust, transparency, and educational impact at the centre. We’re looking forward to learning together and sharing insights with the wider education and assessment community. 👉 Read more about the partnership below #Assessment #EdTech #AIinEducation #Innovation #ResponsibleAI #Learning

  • Ofqual just clarified what responsible AI marking looks like. Graide was already there. This week Ofqual published "Principles of AI use in marking", 104 pages on what can go wrong when AI meets high-stakes assessment. Black box decisions. Inconsistent outputs. Hidden biases baked into training data. The risks are real. But reading through it, something struck us: every concern they raised points to generative AI. The systems trained on the internet that can't explain their own reasoning. That's not what Graide does. One of Ofqual’s clearest requirements is transparency. Graide's feature-based architecture means every decision traces to explicit, interpretable criteria, not hidden neural network weights. Ofqual says identical responses must receive identical marks. Graide is fully deterministic. Same input, same output, every time. They also state that training data must be controlled and auditable. Graide trains exclusively on your institution's human-marked responses. No internet data. No unknown biases. The guidance rejects superficial human review. In Graide, every AI suggestion requires human acceptance. Markers can override anything. Ofqual also focuses on how confidence is measured, stating that confidence measures must be reliable. Graide's confidence scores are statistically calibrated against real acceptance rates. The guidance draws a clear line between AI that belongs in assessment and AI that doesn't. Graide was built on the right side of that line from day one. Comment "whitepaper" if you want our full breakdown on the guidance. #EdTech #HigherEducation #Assessment #Ofqual #AIinEducation
