We’re excited to share that all 5 of our open positions have now been filled! Nearly 5,000 people applied—despite us posting only to very limited, targeted locations. Below is a brief retrospective on the process that we hope will get shared around. We used automation to help sort applications, but there was still a LOT of manual review to ensure everyone stood a fair shot. Only a small percentage moved forward, but we made sure more people than usual had the chance for a first-round interview through our one-way video system—something we received a ton of positive feedback on. From there, a smaller group advanced to live interviews, and every role had multiple highly qualified finalists. Tough choices all around! We set up industry-standard HR software to keep applicants informed at every stage, but unfortunately their automated email system failed us—meaning over half of applicants didn’t receive updates. This was a huge disappointment, as clear communication is important to us. We’re now evaluating alternatives (or at least proper fixes to the email features) and wanted to share this here so everyone is in the loop. Our hope is to help make a small difference in the games industry, where too many applicants feel “ghosted” by companies. Even if it didn’t all go according to plan this time, we’ll keep working to improve. Feedback from applicants on the process has been valuable! Thank you to everyone who applied, shared, and supported us during this process. We're wishing all of you the best of luck on your gamedev journeys 💙 #Hiring #Recruiting #HR #GamesIndustry #Games
