"A medical student can spend countless hours learning about a topic, say for example heart failure, in the classroom, in the physiology lab, and from patients on the wards. They learn the Frank-Starling curve, and how the peripheral vascular system and the pump work together (and sometimes antagonistically) to result in normal and diseased states. Yet, when that medical student freezes during their first Code Blue for a heart failure patient, they’re not experiencing a failure of their own knowledge, but rather a failure of the system they used to train." Full Code Reviewer Opportunity: Maritime Medicine Full Code Medical is seeking experienced clinicians to join our team as peer reviewers for maritime medicine content. If you have experience in maritime, offshore, expedition, or remote medicine (including shipboard clinicians, paramedics, physicians, or medical directors), we’d love to hear from you. In this role, you will review and develop clinical case content designed for maritime and austere care environments, with a focus on clinical realism, accuracy of decision-making, and alignment with typical operational and medical protocols (recognizing that resources and practices vary by setting). "This shift from outcome-based goals to identity-based habits changes everything. The student no longer thinks, “I need to study this rare disease so I can pass Step 2.” Instead, they frame their effort as, “I’m the kind of doctor who keeps up on critical presentations so that I can give my patients the best care I am capable of.” Read the latest blog from Full Code's Chief Medical Officer and co-founder, J.
