Some partnerships stay with you because of what they stand for. Working with SP Jain School of Global Management - Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore & Sydney on NetZero Thrive, their 4th Sustainability Championship, has been one of those experiences for us at FloCard. What SP Jain is building through this initiative is not just an event. It is a culture of consistency around sustainability. In a time when the world is navigating uncertainty and constant change, that consistency matters even more. What I appreciate deeply is that this effort goes beyond the language of being “green.” It brings sustainability to the core — into education, innovation, industry engagement, and problem-solving. At FloCard, we feel privileged to engage with students, faculty, experts, and industry coaches who are all contributing to this shift in a very real way. Seeing it up close has been genuinely inspiring. This year, the championship received 104 registrations from 15 universities across the UAE, with 20 teams shortlisted for the final event. That kind of response reflects both urgency and hope. And perhaps the most meaningful part of all of this is that it is student-led. When young people take ownership of building solutions, the conversation becomes more grounded, more energetic, and more future-facing. It has been a fantastic experience working with the entire team, and we are grateful to be part of this journey. Looking forward to 17 April 2026 and to all the learning, energy, and ideas the event will bring. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞. Growth, Digital, Sustainability, Cost - there is no shortage of well thought out initiatives across organizations. Every initiative has a strong rationale behind it. So, where is the problem? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. It might look like progress, but in reality, it stretches the same teams, fragments attention, and slows down execution across the board. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧. It is the absence of sequence. ➚ What needs to start now? ➚ What can wait? ➚ And what is better not started at all? In absence of these decisions things move, but very little moves meaningfully. In a world where generating options is easy, the real discipline may lie in deciding the order in which they are pursued. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞. AI has made 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞. Yet clarity is becoming harder. This is because of a shift in the challenge. The challenge has shifted from 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒐 𝑫𝒐 to 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒐 𝑪𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆. Over the last few posts, I've been exploring ➚ signal mining ➚ synthetic intuition ➚ complexity pruning ➚ organisational polyglotism While individually these improve strategy, together they shape something more fundamental i.e. "𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬". 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 ≠ 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Competitive advantage is shifting from more intelligence (information) to decision architecture. AI has made information abundant and analysis faster. Yet decision making is getting harder. The question is, why? Organizations aren't suffering from lack of strategy. They are suffering from 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬. Today leadership team has more of 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬, 𝐝𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, and 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, but not necessarily more clarity. The bottleneck has shifted from information to decision making. This is where 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 comes into play. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 > 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 It is the ability to 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞 (complexity pruning), 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 (synthetic intuition), 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (organisational polyglotism), and 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 (signal mining). Individually, these improve strategy. Together, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞. In an AI-saturated world, that may become the real competitive advantage.
