  • We’re honored to be recognized as a Super Host for ROI of Why. For us, purpose has never been a campaign or a tagline. It is built into how we operate every day. Through our Power of 3 program, we commit our profits, products and people to supporting the communities we serve because we believe impact and performance should grow together. Grateful to be part of a movement that continues to push business forward in meaningful ways.

What does it look like to operationalize purpose at scale? Firespring, a Super Host of the ROI of Why Conference, offers a clear example. As Nebraska’s first Certified B Corporation, Firespring has built its business around the belief that impact and performance are not competing priorities. Through initiatives like its Power of 3 program, the company integrates giving into its core operations by dedicating a percentage of its profits, products, and people to community impact. This reflects a broader shift in business leadership. Moving from purpose as messaging to purpose as infrastructure. Firespring has also played a role in advancing the Do More Good® Movement, helping shape conversations around how businesses can serve stakeholders while sustaining growth. • Growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes intention, care and the right environment to thrive. This Arbor Day, we’re reminded that the same is true for the organizations and communities we serve. When we invest in strong foundations, meaningful connections and long-term impact, growth follows. Here’s to the people and organizations planting seeds for a stronger future.

  • This 👏 is a perspective that deserves more attention. Kiersten Hill said it perfectly—nonprofits are businesses. And not just any businesses. They’re navigating strategy, budgets, marketing, and operations while tackling some of the most complex challenges out there… often with fewer resources and higher expectations. That level of leadership requires serious skill, adaptability, and resilience. It’s not about comparing sectors—it’s about recognizing the depth of expertise it takes to lead in the nonprofit space. When we shift how we talk about nonprofit work, we elevate the impact behind it. What’s a skill you’ve had to sharpen in your role that people might not expect? 👇

There’s an interesting intersection I think about a lot… Where business and nonprofit meet. 📣 And here’s the thing: Nonprofits are businesses. 📊 They manage budgets. 🏃 They lead teams. 💪 They build strategy. 💼 They market, sell, and deliver outcomes. ❤️ But they also do something more. Nonprofits are often the most complex businesses—solving some of the biggest challenges in our communities, operating with limited resources, and doing it all under intense scrutiny. So when I hear nonprofit leaders being talked to like they “just don’t understand business,” it doesn’t sit right with me. Because the reality is— Nonprofit leaders are making incredibly sophisticated decisions every single day… often with fewer dollars, fewer people, and higher stakes. 💥💥💥This isn’t about comparison. It’s about recognition. 💥💥💥 When we start acknowledging nonprofits as the businesses they are, we elevate the conversation—and the impact. ❓What’s one business skill (or more) you’ve had to master as a nonprofit leader that people outside the sector might not expect? #NonprofitLeadership #MissionDriven #SocialImpact #NonprofitLife #LeadershipMatters #PoweredByPurpose

  • Fundraising is hard enough without feeling like you’re doing it alone. If your board isn’t fully engaged in fundraising, it can slow down momentum and create frustration across your organization. Join us April 28 for a webinar on how to get your board more involved, motivated and aligned. You’ll walk away with clear strategies to set goals, build accountability and create plans that actually work. • Stories like this stay with you. 💚 Brophy, we’re grateful to have you as part of the Firespring family and honored to stand alongside you in sharing your story. Your strength, your quiet resilience and the love you carry for your family are a powerful reminder of how deeply childhood cancer impacts not just patients, but entire families. We’re proud to support partners like St. Baldrick’s Foundation who are working every day to fund research, support families and create hope for the future. Today and every day, we stand with siblings, families and everyone affected. 💛

When Brophy was 10, his brother Jacob was diagnosed with dumbbell #neuroblastoma at just 6 months old. 💔 Despite being so young, Brophy had already learned independence early. Supported by family, he focused on being strong and not adding to the weight others were already carrying, while emotional needs often went unspoken. Years later, the impact remains. To this day, King Kong (1993) and The Wizard of Oz bring him back to those moments—movies playing on repeat during chemo, a new kind of normal for his family. Today, Brophy’s brother is a high school teacher and lives with lasting effects from treatment. 🙏 Stories like Brophy’s are a reminder that childhood #cancer affects entire families – and why continued investment in #research and support systems is so critical. ✨ In honor of National Sibling Day, we recognize siblings who grow up faster than they should and stand beside them. 💖
