Girls’ Day at Fendt 💚 Last Wednesday, we were delighted to welcome many motivated and curious young girls to Girls’ Day 2026 at Fendt. Girls’ Day aims to inspire young girls to explore professions in which women are still underrepresented. At our Marktoberdorf site, participants gained first-hand insights into the various apprenticeships Fendt offers and discovered exciting career paths. To put theory into practice, they got hands-on by building a mill game themselves. At our Asbach-Bäumenheim site, the girls also learned about apprenticeship opportunities, enjoyed a factory tour, and created their own workpiece. Overall, the day offered valuable insights into new professions, gave the girls the chance to gain practical experience, and inspired them to explore new interests. 🔧✨ #FENDTastic #GirlsDay #Diversity

🥳2009: A Vario transmission for the smallest series equals 100 % Fendt Vario ⚙️ The Fendt 207 V Vario brought the continuously variable transmission to the smallest series – and to special crops for the first time. Growers in vineyards and orchards could now benefit from stepless driving: full PTO power at low speeds, no power loss from gear changes. "In addition to the Vario transmission we wanted to include a new feature: The flat floor", explains @Christoph Mayer, Platform Lead Egineer Tractors Fendt. In this segment tractors used to have a transmission tunnel drivers had to step over which was rather uncomfortable. The Fendt 200 V Vario not only received a Vario transmission but another update improving drivers comfort. And with this step, every Fendt tractor in the lineup came with a Vario transmission as standard. 💯 2009 also marked 100,000 Fendt Vario tractors produced. Fendt celebrated the milestone with a golden Fendt 211 Vario – more on that in our next post. From Marktoberdorf to the U.S.: An Apprentice on an International Journey 🌎 Our apprentice, Lukas Sturm, is currently gaining valuable international experience in the United States. As part of the “Azubis USA” program by the Joachim Herz Stiftung, he is spending several weeks at Kennesaw State University, where he is further developing both his professional and personal skills. During his stay, he is attending several job-related engineering courses that closely align with his apprenticeship training as an industrial mechanic at Fendt in Marktoberdorf. As a training company, we are proud to support this special step and to enable international learning experiences as part of his vocational education. Opportunities like these show how vocational training can truly go beyond borders. With a machine weight of just 3 tonnes, the Xaver GT minimizes soil disturbance and reduces compaction even during repeated passes. Integration with RowPilot, along with the use of AI-supported image processing, lidar sensors, and camera technology, enables very precise, purely mechanical weed control - completely without chemical pesticides. 🔋 The integrated hybrid drive supports efficient energy use and contributes to resource-saving, low-emission operation. The interplay of autonomous navigation, intelligent sensor technology, and minimal machine deployment creates a system that directly links efficiency gains with sustainability goals. The future of farming in the heart of the Allgäu: Fendt at Agrarschau Allgäu🌾 From April 16 to 20, the Agrarschau Allgäu in Dietmannsried, Germany, brought together agricultural professionals, technology enthusiasts, and families for an unforgettable experience. On the spacious exhibition grounds, visitors could to see various Fendt tractors up close and get a hands-on experience with modern agricultural technology. With over 400 exhibitors, more than 80,000 m² of exhibition space, and a clear focus on agriculture, the Agrarschau provided the ideal platform to learn about the latest products, innovative solutions, and current trends. 3 axles, 6 wheels, and over 500 hp: The Fendt TRISIX Vario💪 A true cult model that later laid the foundation for the Fendt 1000 Vario series.💚 When it was unveiled at @AGRITECHNICA 2007, the prototype Fendt TRISIX Vario immediately became the highlight of the show. It was the first and only of its kind to compete with high horse power tracked machines and articulated tractors. As farms continued to grow in size, the demand for higher performance grew as well. ❌The challenge: At the time tractor transmissions only went up to 300 hp and tyres in the required dimensions weren't developped yet. Tracked tractors were an alternative, but were not as flexible as wheeled tractors. ✅Our Fendt engineering team took a bold approach: They designed three axles with smaller tyres to distribute the weight and two Vario transmissions working in parallel, combining the benefits of tracked and wheeled tractors while eliminating the disadvantages. So the Fendt TRISIX Vario was born. ⚙️Technical Facts: • Vario Transmission 1: front and middle axles • Vario Transmission 2: rear axle 3 axles • MAN 12-liter inline-six engine with a maximum of 540 hp • Cooling system: pressurizing fan • Wet disc brakes • Tyre pressure control system (Tyre-in-Tyre system) • Independent wheel suspension After testing, agreements were made with the tyre industry, and a new transmission was developped. Even though the Fendt TRISIX Vario was a prototype and did not go into production, much of its technology was incorporated into the Fendt 1000 Vario series,. This included the fan cooling system, single wheel suspension and the engine as well as a completely new approach to the Vario transmission.
