The Federation of European Data and Marketing (FEDMA) represents the data and marketing industry from across Europe in Brussels. Our members use data for effective marketing and improved customer experience through all communications channels. FEDMA operates mainly through the participation of its network of national Data Marketing Associations (DMAs) across Europe and significant companies who have an interest in influencing legislation. FEDMA is one of the most respected advocacy organizations in Brussels. Its industry code is the only one approved and endorsed by the Article 29 working party. Its strength comes from the participation of representatives from most EU Member States, distilling views into a cohesive set of policies for the European Institutions.

Today, ITI joined 21 other industry associations in a joint statement on the EU Digital Omnibus with one message standing out: do not lose the ambition. The Digital Omnibus is a real opportunity to simplify Europe’s digital rulebook and reduce overlap, cut fragmentation, and give businesses more legal certainty across data, ePrivacy, and cybersecurity rules. The EU cannot miss this opportunity. Europe’s leaders have repeatedly called for simpler, more coherent rules to support competitiveness, innovation, and investment. The Digital Omnibus can help deliver that—if Member States pursue real simplification. That means: ✅ Preserving targeted GDPR clarifications; ✅ Ensuring cookie rules reflect technical and market realities; ✅ Supporting the EU-level Single-Entry Point and further simplification of EU cyber rules; and ✅ Adequately protecting trade secrets and security under the Data Act.
