I want to take a minute to recognize Michael Scott. Mike took time out of his schedule to represent Feazel at a local trade school and talk to students about careers in roofing. That kind of initiative doesn't just matter — it's exactly what this industry needs right now. Here's the reality we're all operating in: The construction industry is short nearly 500,000 skilled workers today. And the demand for new hires isn't slowing down. At the same time, roughly 1 in 5 construction workers is over the age of 55, and projections suggest 53% of the current construction workforce will retire within the next decade. Meanwhile, the world is increasingly telling young people that automation and AI will handle everything. And while technology is absolutely changing how we work, it cannot replace the skilled craftsperson who shows up on a job site and gets it done. The roof still has to go on. The cladding still has to be installed. Somebody has to do it — and do it right. What doesn't get talked about enough? The trades pay well. Construction wages are running more than 24% higher than the average private sector job. No six-figure student debt. Direct career paths. Real advancement. There's an incredible opportunity sitting right in front of the next generation — if someone will just show up and tell them about it. That's what Mike did. And that's the kind of proactive investment in our future workforce that every company in this space needs to be making. For those of us running operations and trying to scale a business, the labor pipeline isn't an HR problem — it's a business continuity problem. The companies that win over the next decade won't just be the ones with the best systems and processes. They'll be the ones who built relationships with tomorrow's workforce before they needed them. Get into the schools. Show up at the trade programs. Build the pipeline now. Thanks for leading the way, Mike.
