  • If you’re talking about automation, you need to understand what’s really happening on the shopfloor. Gary Murrey ⏱💰does. From 𝟮𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹, we’ll be at 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗛 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺. That’s where you’ll find Gary. Sales Manager for UK and Ireland at Fastems. His path didn’t start in sales, but on the shopfloor. He’s spent years programming, setting up processes and dealing with the day-to-day realities of production. And that still shapes how he approaches things today. The reality is rarely perfect. Established set-ups, varying part types, small batch sizes and the pressure to keep things running. That’s where 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Not in theory, but in real operations. And it needs to be thought through in a way that still holds up tomorrow. That’s the perspective Gary brings. If you’re at MACH and thinking about how to move your existing processes forward, it’s worth having a conversation with him. • Competitiveness in manufacturing is not built alone. It is built through collaboration, shared learning, and stronger value chains. That is why we are proud to be a part of the Make in Finland Ecosystem. This article explores how ecosystem-based collaboration helps Finnish manufacturing respond to change, strengthen capabilities, create new growth and why MAKE is joining Finnish Alihankinta Subcontracting fair as the main partner in 2026.   [article in Finnish] ➡️ https://lnkd.in/di-9BkxE #MAKEinFinland #powerofcollaboration #manufacturingindustry

  • 2 weeks until MACH Exhibition! ⏳ What if your machines didn’t wait for the next job - but knew what to do next? In high-mix manufacturing, the real bottleneck isn’t always capacity. It’s how efficiently that capacity is used. More machines doesn't directly translate to higher productivity. Planning, prioritizing, and adapting are what make the difference between average output and exceptional performance. At Fastems, we help manufacturers turn complexity into a competitive advantage with flexible CNC automation and intelligent production control. Curious what that could look like in your shop? 📍 NEC Birmingham 📅 20–24 April 2026 Let’s start the conversation. Visit our stand 18-659! #Fastems #MACH2026 #SmartManufacturing #CNCAutomation

  • Automated FMS lights-out machining rarely fails because of lacking machining capacity — it fails because there is not sufficient pallet buffer. What if you can't load pallets into your FMS for the coming 8 hours? Option 1: Lose night-time machining potential (almost 3,000 hours per machine per year) Option 2: Have someone or something loading parts into your pallets overnight. In our upcoming webinar, we’ll look at 'something' of option 2 and discuss how automated FMS pallet loading turns buffer building into your strength. You’ll learn how automated pallet auto-loading enables long unmanned runs, keeps spindle hours high during nights and weekends — and makes it possible to run both low and high volumes efficiently in the same FMS (without overinvesting in pallets or fixtures). 📅 April 16, 2026 | 15:00 CET / 9:00 AM ET 🎙️ Janne Kivinen, Milling Automation Product Manager, Fastems Join live or watch the recording later 👉 https://lnkd.in/dnvKUx3M #FMS #LightsOutManufacturing #CNCautomation #FlexibleManufacturing #MachiningAutomation #HighMixLowVolume
