🛡️ SBOMs only matter when they’re embedded into real build and release workflows. Not when they’re treated as a one-off deliverable. The Eclipse Kura team shares a hands-on journey to adopting SBOMs with CycloneDX and Dependency-Track, turning dependency visibility and vulnerability tracking into practical, scalable, and actionable practices. “The positive experience with CycloneDX and Dependency-Track has encouraged us to extend this approach beyond our open-source project,” says Matteo Maiero, Eclipse Kura Project Lead and Engineering Manager at Eurotech. “We are now evaluating these tools for our commercial offerings to strengthen our security posture and align with upcoming requirements like the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).” For Eurotech, this goes beyond tooling. Eclipse Kura is a cornerstone of our ESF (Eurotech Software Framework), powering software platforms deployed in sensitive and mission-critical environments. That’s where cybersecurity becomes a real differentiator.
