We’reĀ keeping our drinking water safe.Ā šŸ’§Ā  Ā  FromĀ today, EU countriesĀ must monitorĀ per and polyfluoroalkyl substancesĀ (PFAS)Ā levelsĀ inĀ drinkingĀ water.Ā  Ā  PFAS are long-lasting chemicals that can be harmful toĀ health,Ā ifĀ levels are too high.Ā  Ā  ThisĀ isĀ the first time PFAS areĀ beingĀ systematicallyĀ monitoredĀ acrossĀ the EU.Ā  Ā  If theĀ limitĀ isĀ exceeded,Ā EU countriesĀ mustĀ takeĀ action toĀ reduceĀ theĀ levelĀ of PFAS.Ā Ā  Ā  ThisĀ mayĀ includeĀ closingĀ contaminatedĀ wells,Ā addingĀ treatmentĀ steps, orĀ restrictingĀ the use ofĀ drinkingĀ water supplies.Ā  Ā  Because everyone deserves access to safe drinking water.

  • 80Ā yearsĀ ago, the world cameĀ togetherĀ likeĀ neverĀ before.Ā  Ā  For the first time, formerĀ enemiesĀ and alliesĀ wereĀ sittingĀ at theĀ sameĀ table,Ā speakingĀ theĀ languageĀ ofĀ diplomacy.Ā Ā  Ā  51 countriesĀ wereĀ readyĀ toĀ maintainĀ peaceĀ and security in the post-World War II era.Ā  Ā  Today,Ā the UN General AssemblyĀ remainsĀ a vital space where every nation has a voice.Ā

    • The text in black on grey texture background reads: ā€˜80 years ago, the world chose dialogue over violence. Today, it’s still the right choice.’ The EU logo in bla in the top right corner.

We are veryĀ well awareĀ of the fact that X for Grok is now offering a spicy mode showing explicit sexual content with some output generated with childlike images: šŸ“Œ A detailed request for information on Grok has already been sent to X, and we are reviewing the company’s responses. šŸ“Œ In addition, X has been ordered toĀ retainĀ all internal documents and data concerningĀ Grok’sĀ features until the end of 2026. The Digital Services Act is very clear: In the EU, all platforms have to get their own house in order.Ā  Ā  Because we cannot tolerate suchĀ output.Ā  Ā  Compliance with EU law is not an option.Ā It’sĀ an obligation. - Spokesperson Thomas REGNIER

The scene is illuminated by dramatic sunlight breaking through a dark, cloudy sky on the left, casting rays of light onto a snow-covered field.
    • A winding, snow-covered road disappears over a distant hill, bordered by a forest of snow-laden pine and spruce trees. The sky is dominated by a brilliant, vibrant sunset with intense shades of red and orange above the tree line.
