The Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) is more than a budgetary exercise – it translates the strategic direction of the European Union for years to come into overall financial planning. As discussions on the post-2027 MFF gather pace, key choices will need to be made on priorities, flexibility, performance, and how the EU intends to respond to future crises and long-term challenges.
