📢 On 12 March, the European Court of Auditors will publish two opinions on the European Commission’s proposals for the next #EUbudget in the field of culture, democracy and media. The opinions will cover the #AgoraEU and #Erasmus+ programmes.

Today, the President of the Council of the European Union, António Costa, visited the European Court of Auditors. He was welcomed by ECA President Tony Murphy (FCCA), together with ECA Members Keit Pentus-Rosimannus and João Leão. The meeting allowed for a fruitful exchange on the evolving EU challenges and on further cooperation between the two institutions.

🫱🏼🫲🏻🇪🇸 Today, Member Alejandro Blanco Fernández welcomed a delegation from the Andalusian Regional Government. The delegation met with President Tony Murphy (FCCA) and Members Iliana Ivanova, Ivana Maletic and Keit Pentus-Rosimannus to discuss the risks and opportunities associated with performance-based instruments such as the RRF, and our recent opinions on the proposals for the next MFF.

Today, President Tony Murphy (FCCA) and Member Carlo Alberto Manfredi Selvaggi welcomed European Commissioner Raffaele Fitto to the ECA for an exchange on the ECA’s recently published opinions on the proposals for the next MFF. This was followed by a meeting with several ECA Members, including with the Dean and Members of Chamber II, on the lessons learned from the RRF and the future challenges and opportunities for cohesion policy under the next MFF. 

Daniel Caspary took up his duties as the new German Member of the European Court of Auditors. Mr Caspary was appointed for the period from 1 March 2026 to 29 February 2032, replacing Klaus-Heiner Lehne. Welcome to the #EUauditors!
