The biggest mistake companies make with AI is treating it like a band-aid. Many leaders hope AI will simply fill a hole or hide an existing problem. I recently sat down with Thomas Watkins on the Product Led Growth Leaders podcast. We talked about a trap I see CEOs fall into all the time: throwing technology at a problem that’s actually caused by people or bad processes. It’s easy to get sold on the shiny object - the new AI tool or the massive ERP that promises to fix everything. But I’ve always said it’s people, then processes, then platforms. Platforms are the last thing on the list, but most companies try to make them the first.
