Revolutionary fluid control for research and industry.
About us
Equilibar offers revolutionary fluid control for the most challenging applications in research, biotech, and industry. Our engineers have expertise in multi-phase flow, supercritical states, automation, biopharma standards, continuous flow, and severe service. Equilibar® patented devices provide back pressure control, vacuum control, and flow control. They are available in a range of materials, including single use options. EQUILIBAR BACK PRESSURE REGULATORS have proven their value for more than 15 years, with solid performance in fuel cell research, oil and gas, supercritical, pharmaceutical engineering and other cutting edge industries. EQUILIBAR'S VACUUM CONTROL VALVES have been used for NASA's Artemis Mission and by the US Navy’s Altitude Laboratory at the Naval Air Warfare Center, where they played a key role in an application that required stable pressure across flow rate changes of up to 1,000 to 1. THE EQUILIBAR FLOW CONTROL VALVE offers a wide Cv range, chemical compatibility and multiphase fluid handling. This device can provide a solution for unique scenarios such as complex oil well injection applications that are beyond the capabilities of traditional valves. For upstream and downstream biopharmaceutical applications with multiple processing needs, our Single Use Technology (SUT) Division offers a suite of products that meet Pharma 4.0® guidelines. Equilibar's core technology features a dome-loaded multiple orifice design that is radically different from conventional valves and regulators. Its synergistic design elements result in high sensitivity, 1000:1 flow rate turn-down ratio, easy automation for computer control, extreme precision and virtually instantaneous reaction time. Since May of 2021, Equilibar has been part of the Richards Industrials Family. Equilibar’s Quality System is ISO 9001:2015 Certified. We are proud to work and manufacture in the United States and honored to partner with innovators around the world.

Join us for a webinar Friday May 29th at 9:30 or 11:30 to learn how Equilibar single use SDO and multi-use FDO back pressure regulators can improve transmembrane pressure control of your TFF system. Use one of the links in the post below to register.
𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 - 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟯𝟬𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟭:𝟯𝟬𝗮 𝗘𝗦𝗧 Are you getting maximum yield out of your TFF process? Do your membranes ever foul before the run is complete? Fluctuations in flow, retentate/permeate pressure and pulsation, can quietly sabotage your UF and DF performance - affecting flux and the life of your membrane filter — costing you titer, OPEX and time. Join us for a 30-minute webinar where we'll break down how to take back control. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻: • How to precisely control the three variables that make-or-break TFF performance: Flow, TMP, and Pulsation • How the Equilibar FDO/SDO Series delivers tight, real-time control across a wide dynamic range • Practical strategies to optimize your UF/DF installation using the latest back-pressure regulation technology 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿: Karl Lutkewitte, Director of Training 9:30A Registration https://lnkd.in/eisNdtb8 11:30A Registration https://lnkd.in/gWS6GZZ8 Can't make it live? We're proud to sponsor FIRST Robotics TEAM 1225: The Gorillas for another season of inspiring competition! Join us in congratulating them for their outstanding performance over the past weekend at UNC Asheville, where they competed with 30 teams, finished 6th in the rankings and captained the #4 Alliance. They also won the Quality Award celebrating machine robustness in concept and fabrication. More details from one of the team mentors: "Our robot functioned continually throughout qualification rounds and finals, offering consistent and reliable scoring match after match. Our drive team used our reliable machine to develop a gameplay strategy and through consistent communication implemented it throughout the competition. "We saw students empowered to wear the green and purple gorilla costumes, which represented our mascot and brand effectively. We saw Students engaged and dancing at the driver's station during matches representing the amazing energy of FRC. We saw students quickly problem-solve and adapt when robot repairs and issues arose after matches in the PITS. We saw parents actively volunteering some every day of the event. We saw mentors continue to guide students and strengthen processes enabling students to envision a path to success. We saw alumni support the team by coaching soft skills during awards prep and assisting with programming improvements. We saw our programming student implement autonomous for the first time and then we watched it work in every match." These future scientists, engineers, technicians and savvy business leaders are well on the way to competing in the state competition in April, so be sure to watch this space for updates.
