About us
Why Choose Enhanced Prep After working for some of the most well known test prep and tutoring companies for more than 20 years, we realized that there is something missing from the experience for both students and parents. Here at Enhanced Prep we elevate everything from grades, test scores, and confidence the student has both in school and taking their official SAT or ACT Test. Here are a few of the other things we do: One-on-One Customized Tutoring We match the student with a tutor and then create a plan for success We involve parents every step of the way with a recap video and shared notes directly from the tutor at the end of each session We work on more than homework or test prep, we also look to build confidence and excitement We remove the fear and anxiety for both the student and parents alike We hire only the best of the best with at least 5 years of tutoring experience, a bachelors degree (65% of our team has a masters or Ph.D.), and they all have a passion to educate.

Are you choosing between the digital and paper ACT without knowing which actually works better for you? Watch the full video on YouTube - https://lnkd.in/g3EaGYiD Drop a 🚀 if you're still deciding or feeling unsure about which format fits your strengths. Here's what most students overlook: the right test format isn't just about convenience—it's about optimizing your score by playing to your strengths. Digital exams offer automatic timing, less distraction, and tools like timers and the Desmos app, which can boost pacing if you're comfortable with tech. Paper exams give you more control over annotations, active marking, and question prioritization—especially helpful for visual learners or those who like to strategize on paper. Knowing how to optimize each setup can make a real difference. Whether you prefer moving fast or annotating actively, your choice should align with your test style, not just the format. What’s your biggest concern about choosing the right format? Think about it. Your perfect plan might surprise you.

The secret to solving quadratic questions faster? Understanding how symmetry helps you find the right answer — without overcomplicating. 🤔 Tag someone who's stuck on these types of problems! In this SAT math example, I showed how recognizing the axis of symmetry and the parabola's vertex can cut your calculation time in half. It’s all about visualizing the graph, knowing where the line of symmetry lies, and understanding that the x-intercepts are equidistant from it. No fancy apps needed — just a solid grasp of the concept. When you focus on the core idea of symmetry, solving becomes simpler, not more complicated. Worth thinking about. Would you have approached this differently? Drop your thoughts below! #education #satprep #math #testprep #graph https://lnkd.in/ganYWbvk

Families ask us all the time: “How do we know if an independent college admissions counselor is actually the right fit?” This post from Kathy Fine, Ph.D., Certified Educational Planner (CEP) lays out a super practical 21-question checklist to help parents vet an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC)—from credentials and process, to ethical boundaries around essays, responsible AI guidance, communication expectations, and (a big one) affordability + merit strategy early in the process. At Enhanced Prep, we love partnering with strong IECs, like Kathy, because when counseling + tutoring work together, students get the strategy + the score growth + the confidence they need. If you’re a family starting your search (or an educator sharing resources), this is a great one to bookmark. https://lnkd.in/gGFGcwM8 #CollegeAdmissions #IndependentEducationalConsultant #CollegeCounseling #TestPrep #SATPrep #ACTPrep #StudentSuccess #FinancialAid #MeritScholarships

Reading Traps that are on all standardized tests... ALL tests. Informed test-takers know that many incorrect answers aren’t random—they’re strategic traps. I realized that the most common? They play on our biases around extreme language, negative connotations, opinion words, or group assumptions. For example, words like famished or unyielding aren’t just descriptive—they push the answer to an extreme, often making it incorrect. Similarly, answer choices with negative connotations, like mundane or disdain, are designed to provoke hesitation or eliminate options unfairly. What’s powerful is recognizing these patterns quickly. If you get in the habit of noticing extreme or opinion-based language, or answers that generalize groups—like “all growers” or “everyone” — you can discard wrong choices fast. This isn’t about memorizing rules; it’s about understanding how test writers think—and staying ahead by spotting their tactics. Maybe that’s the point. Worth thinking about. #studyhacks #MindfulLearning #exampreparation #StudySmart #EducationMatters #testprep https://lnkd.in/g5_hHqsY
