Three days. One team. Zero pretense. Last week, the eFlow team traded our screens for an Airbnb in Belgium. Not for a strategy offsite with PowerPoints - but for real time together. We boxed with former kickboxing world champion Robbie Hageman. Not to learn how to fight - but to face the question: when life hits you, do you fight back or do you run? I saw sides of my team I'd never seen before. We played poker, cooked together, talked about business and life. The kind of conversations you don't have in a Teams call. What struck me most: every single person on this team is genuinely authentic. No egos, no politics - just people who want the best for each other and for this industry. If you're building a company, I can tell you this: the right people are everything. Not the ones who look good on paper - the ones who show up, gloves on, ready to go. Tomorrow we celebrate the birthday of someone who plays a big role in exactly that at eFlow: Marek Madej 🎉 For three years now, Marek has been a key part of our day-to-day operations while also helping drive the development of our products. Especially everything under our eFlow Secure umbrella, where we focus on fraud prevention and chargeback management. Anyone in the payments industry knows this is not the simplest area to work in. It takes persistence, attention to detail, and a lot of problem-solving. Marek somehow manages to do all of that while keeping things moving forward and keeping the rest of us on track. Like good DJs do: anticipating on the next song, feeling the right vibe and adjust their setlist accordingly. It just so happens that being a DJ is exactly what Marek loves to do in his spare time. 🎧 Marek: thank you for the dedication, the ideas, and the work you put in behind the scenes every day. Some people leave a mark on a company. Bianca Blanariu is definitely one of them. After having been very helpful to many partners, merchants and others across our industry, she’s starting a new chapter by end of this month and will be joining an Acquirer for an exciting new challenge.
