What a great day, wrapping up Day 2 of the #CYCLOPES Community Event 2026.
After two days of intensive discussions, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, the event has successfully concluded. It brought together over 100 stakeholders from #lawenforcement, #research, #policy, and operational communities across the #EU.
Today’s sessions continued to build on the strong foundations of Day 1, with participants sharing insights, exploring emerging challenges, and identifying future directions in the fight against #cybercrime.
Reflecting on the discussions, several key topics stood out, including the presence of #ChildSexualAbuseMaterial (#CSAM) on the #DarkWeb and methods for identifying and investigating such platforms. Participants explored real-world examples, including case studies on dismantling criminal networks, as well as #tools used to monitor the Dark Web. The use of #AI in #investigations and its role in court proceedings was also discussed, alongside a range of tools currently available or under development based on practitioners’ needs. There were also dedicated sessions on tools for #LEAs and many more topic, far too many to capture in a single post.
Feedback from participants highlighted the value of the event, with many expressing strong interest in more initiatives that bring communities together to learn from one another.
Overall a shared sentiment among attendees was the importance of strengthening cooperation, exchanging expertise, and reinforcing a common vision for enhancing Europe’s capabilities in digital forensics and security.
Thank you to all partners, speakers, and participants for contributing to the event.
