India Philanthropy Forum London 2026 | Bridges Beyond Borders June 25 2026 | Saddlers’ Hall, 40 Gutter Lane, London EC2V 6BR, United Kingdom As India’s development ecosystem enters a moment of scale, the questions before us are no longer only about capital or intent, but about how we connect and collaborate together across geographies. This year, IPF London 2026 is anchored in the theme Bridges Beyond Borders: Fueling the Power of Collective Action. At a time when philanthropy is becoming increasingly global and interconnected, building stronger pathways between ideas, capital, and on-ground action is more critical than ever. As new intersections emerge across finance, research, culture, and climate, the need for more intentional collaboration continues to grow. This theme reflects a shift toward enabling these connections and bringing together diaspora leaders, philanthropists, institutions, and nonprofits to align efforts and unlock greater impact. IPF London 2026 will serve as a platform where these conversations take shape, connecting global perspectives with India’s realities, and moving from fragmented efforts to coordinated, collective action. At Skoll World Forum 2026, conversations moved beyond familiar narratives to what it really takes to translate intent into practice. Across the week, we engaged in discussions on funding, leadership, and systems change, with a consistent return to the gap between ambition and execution and what it takes to close it in complex, real-world contexts. Flexible funding, for instance, is often framed as a trade-off against accountability. In practice, it can recognize complexity, enable adaptation, and back the leadership of those closest to communities. Conversations also signalled a growing shift in how we think about scale. It’s not just about more capital, but the right kind of capital, long-term, flexible, and aligned to pathways for adoption and systems change. Intermediaries have an important role to play here, not by adding layers, but by absorbing complexity, unlocking relationships, and enabling more aligned capital to flow where it is needed most. At the same time, conversations on organisational strength pointed to a broader rethinking of leadership. In a rapidly changing context, strong organisations are not just efficient, they are adaptive, transparent, and built to sustain people as much as impact. This means investing in leadership pipelines, building resilient systems, and recognising rest as essential to long-term effectiveness. Running through all of this is a deeper shift. Systems change is as much about who shapes solutions as it is about the solutions themselves. Through the Dasra x Skoll Delegation, it was powerful to see grassroots leaders from across India bring lived experience, community insight, and locally rooted approaches into these global spaces not as participants, but as shapers of the conversation. For Dasra, this reinforces the importance of continuing to back grassroots leadership and strengthening the ecosystems that enable their work to sustain and scale. Grateful for the candour, the challenge, and the collective commitment to move from ideas to action. At Dasra, we see disability inclusion as critical to advancing equity. Over the past decade, disability inclusion in India has seen meaningful momentum across policy, practice, and ecosystem engagement. What comes next will require more than progress. It calls for deeper alignment, stronger collaboration, and institutional capacity to translate intent into sustained, systemic change. We are pleased to launch our latest report, From Promise to Practice, in collaboration with HSBC India. The report brings together voices and insights from across the ecosystem to reflect on disability inclusion not as a standalone issue, but through a systems lens. Join us, with the support of HSBC India, as we launch the report and convene ecosystem leaders to shape the path ahead. 19 May 2026 | Hilton Mumbai, International Airport | 9:30 AM onwards Register here: https://luma.com/92eybzo2

#DasraatSkoll Global conversations on systems change often happen far from the communities they seek to impact. At Skoll World Forum 2026, Dasra is contributing to bringing these perspectives closer to the center of global conversations. Across the week, we’ll be engaging in conversations on funding models, organisational strength, and the role of intermediaries, while bringing perspectives rooted in lived experience from India into these global spaces. This is not just about participation. It’s about ensuring that the voices closest to the issues help shape how solutions are designed, funded, and scaled. Through the Dasra x Skoll Delegation 2025–26, we are also bringing grassroots leaders from across India to be part of these conversations sharing insights from the ground and building pathways for deeper collaboration. Dasra reposted this
April marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar architect of India’s Constitution and a transformative voice against caste-based discrimination. It is also #DalitHistoryMonth. Throughout the month, Rebuild India Fund will share stories from our partners working at the intersections of caste, gender, disability, climate, and access to justice organizations that are reimagining systems and shifting power on the ground. For Dasra, this is a moment to reaffirm our commitment to advancing equity by supporting organizations that are closest to the challenges and the solutions. It is a reminder that lasting change is built by strengthening grassroots leadership and community-driven institutions. Stay with us as we spotlight the work shaping a more just and inclusive India.

This week, we’ve been unpacking why women’s leadership is central to improving health outcomes in India. Today on #SafeMotherhood Day, Dr. Nandita Bhan brings this to life drawing on research and data to show what this connection looks like in the Indian context. Behind every maternal health outcome is a decision about what gets prioritised, funded, and researched. And who is in the room when those decisions are made shapes what ultimately gets decided. When women hold leadership roles, maternal and reproductive health moves up the agenda. The evidence goes further: women-led research teams are significantly more likely to develop health solutions centered on women helping close long-standing gaps across cardiovascular disease, autoimmune conditions, and mental health. At Dasra, we see women’s leadership not just as an equity imperative, but as a critical lever for stronger, more responsive health systems. Through our work with partners across the healthcare ecosystem, we are building and amplifying this evidence, so it reaches the organizations and decision-makers who have the power to act on it. In this video, Dr. Bhan explores: • the persistent gender gaps in healthcare leadership • why these gaps matter for health systems and communities • and what advancing women’s leadership could change If this is a conversation you want to be part of, whether to learn more about our work or to share evidence and examples from your own organisation-we would love to hear from you. What will it take to build a stronger, more responsive #healthcaresystem for India’s future? By 2030, India’s healthcare sector is projected to add 8 million jobs and 40,000 leadership roles. Who steps into these roles will shape not only organisations, but the outcomes the system delivers. Earlier this week, we shared evidence on why women’s leadership matters for health outcomes (https://lnkd.in/gEhVdUN2) . This week, we build on that to make a clearer case for organisations and investors shaping India’s healthcare ecosystem. Dasra’s Women in Leadership (Healthcare) initiative, in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), has developed an investment case for advancing women in leadership. Drawing on 40+ studies and insights from healthcare leaders across the country, the findings point to a compelling opportunity. Women patients treated by women clinicians see 10–15% better outcomes across survival, complications, and readmissions. Districts with stronger representation of women in healthcare decision-making report 7–8% higher maternal service uptake. With a persistent specialist shortage, the 60,000–70,000 qualified women specialists currently outside active practice represent one of the most immediate talent opportunities in the system. Taken together, the evidence is clear: where women lead, organisations and health systems perform better. Explore the full investment case here: https://wlia.dasra.org/ This work is grounded in a simple conviction that evidence must reach those with the power to act. Advancing women in leadership is not only a matter of equity, but a pathway to stronger organisations and better health outcomes. If this is a conversation you would like to be part of, whether to learn more or to share perspectives from your own organisation, we would value hearing from you at roshni.mukherji@dasra.org #WomenInLeadership #HealthcareIndia #WILH #HealthSystems #GenderEquity #PrivateSector #InvestInWomen #WorldHealthWeek Anamika Misra Debarati Bhattacharya, Ph.D. Epcita S.
