Rolling codes are a fundamental element of today’s RF security ecosystem, used in gate controllers, alarm systems, and many types of access-control hardware. Their role is straightforward: block replay attacks by generating a unique, single-use code for every transmission. This article breaks down, in a clear sequence, how Kaiju analyzes these protocols end to end, from capturing the raw RF signal with PandwaRF to reconstructing the full internal state of the remote, including its fixed identifiers, rolling counter, and cryptographic key material.
