#IFP2026🚀 Over the past 3 months (Jan–Mar 2026), we ran the Impact Fellowship Program (IFP) 2026 at the RCTS, IIIT-Hyderabad, supported by Qualcomm with a focus on bridging academic learning with real-world tech for social impact. The program brought together three key initiatives: 🔹 Final Year Internships 50 students placed across 11 organizations, working on live projects in healthcare, education, and governance — with 66% delivering strong outcomes and 78% women participation. 🔹 SheCodes (Women in Open Source) A hands-on workshop + sprint model to onboard women into DPG/DPI ecosystems → 240 participants, 158 starter issues worked on across 3 DPGs, and 54 PRs raised (12 merged). 🔹 Qualcomm Workshop An in-person workshop for Qualcomm scholarship students covering product thinking, UX, and MVP building → 12 team projects exploring real-world use cases, including language tech. What stood out: 🌟Students don’t just need training — they need structured pathways to apply, build, and contribute. 🌟The learnings and feedback from this cohort are invaluable, and we’re committed to making the experience even better going forward. This is the pipeline we’re building at RCTS: learn → build → contribute to public good. 🙏Grateful to all partners, mentors, and students who made this possible. #Qualcomm #CodeForGoodTech #TechForGood #SheCodes #OpenSource #WomenInTech #TechForGood #DigitalPublicGoods #GitHub #Mentorship RCTS, IIIT-Hyderabad | Samagra | Transforming Governance | Gates Foundation | Digital Public Goods Alliance | GitHub
