It was wonderful to celebrate the incredible 2026 Milano Cortina Australian Winter Olympic Team last week with the Australian Olympic Committee. Their historical achievements – three gold, two silver, one bronze and a record number top 10 performances, have inspired a generation! Congratulations to the athletes and their teams – we are so proud of you all! And thank you to the Australian Government and Anika Wells for your ongoing support and commitment to developing athletes in Australia. #AOC Kate Dykes #winterolympics

Healthcare Australia is honoured to be the official partner of the National Rugby League Battlefields to Footyfields (B2F) program.  Last week, at the Victoria Barracks in Sydney, we announced this exciting partnership and were joined by current serving members Brigadier Robert Calhoun DSC, LS Aiden Richardson, CPL Ben Seppai, LAC Trey Hubert, NRL General Manager (Participation, Strategy & Growth) Dylan Hides and the HCA team with Andre Coia (Executive General Manager) and Tim Gleason (Manager of Strategy).    B2F is an NRL initiative designed to support ADF members as they move from military service into civilian life. The program provides structured training, accreditation, mentoring and community placements that help veterans stay connected and build confidence in their new life.    We could not be prouder to support such an incredible initiative that reflects our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of those who have served Australia. #HealthcareAustralia #WhereCareBegins #NRL #VeteranSupport #ADF #DefenceHealth

  • Recently, CMAX Advisory supported our client partner SYPAQ Systems with their involvement in the historic announcement of $7 billion in CUAS and UAS funding by the Albanese Government at their facility in Melbourne.    SYPAQ welcomed Pat Conroy and Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) head, MAJGEN Hugh Meggitt AM CSC to their advanced manufacturing facility in Fishermans Bend, announcing critical development funding for their capability, Corvo Strike.     We were proud to work alongside the incredible SYPAQ team on this project and congratulate them on this innovation, which is shaping modern battlespaces, delivering best-in-class capability for the ADF and its allies. Interceptor drones and high-energy lasers. It’s not quite Star Wars - but it’s getting close. Check out these two types of sovereign counter-drone kit. One is SYPAQ Systems’ Corvo Strike interceptor drone that targets and destroys larger drones. The other is AIM Defence’s Fractl laser that can track a 10 cent piece moving at 100km/h and burn through steel. We know capabilities like these are critical to keeping our ADF safe. That’s why today I announced two contracts under the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator’s Mission Syracuse - with $10 million for SYPAQ and $21 million for AIM. And it’s why we’re more than doubling our investment in counter-drone tech over the next decade too.

An update from CMAX Advisory ‘s long-term pro bono parter and flying doctor, Dr Barry Kirby from The Hands of Rescue, following Tropical Cyclone Maila. Any donations to support the critical work of Dr Barry in PNG would be most appreciated thehandsofrescue.org.au Tropical Cyclone Maila Update (from Dr Barry Kirby): In the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Maila, which caused significant devastation to some of the most remote islands in the Milne Bay Province of PNG, we have been helping with the delivery of critical supplies, medical evacuations and reporting updates back to the mainland rescue and response teams. Our immediate focus was to get to the island of Woodlark where we were to land, unload fuel and supplies, speak to community members, then travel on to the very isolated Budi Budi Island, which we had heard was hit hardest. No-one has been able to access the island since the cyclone hit as the weather has been too bad. We made several attempts to land our sea plane at Budi Budi to assess if anyone needed emergency medical evacuation, but after three attempts in huge swells, we had to abort the landing and fly back to Woodlark. We did manage to get some photos and videos of the damage to report back to the mainland emergency units who are coordinating their response. We have also coordinated our own disaster response group to get supplies of food, water and equipment to Budi Budi island by boat today. Rotary Boroko has delivered boxes of food to THOR HQ and we are loading it today on to a large 100-foot private boat who has donated their services to help. Thank you to Brendan from Driftwood, Tim Abel, Craig Dewitt and the crew of boat, and Rotary Boroko for your support of this mission. The THOR team are committed to continuing to assist those who have lost loved ones, their homes, their gardens and their livelihoods as a result of Cyclone Maila. #flyingdoctor #thor #thehandsofrescue

  • In a week where much of the news cycle has been dominated by fuel security and global challenges, it’s refreshing to see a genuinely positive milestone in the space and defence domain. Congratulations to ICEYE on its latest successful launch, deploying six new satellites and continuing to expand what is already the world’s largest synthetic aperture radar (SAR) constellation. With more than 70 satellites now in orbit, ICEYE continues to demonstrate what sustained innovation and execution at scale looks like and show where the future of sovereign space-enabled capability is heading, a domain increasingly essential to modern operations. CMAX Advisory is proud to work alongside a client that continues to set the pace globally.

ICEYE has successfully launched and deployed six new 25 cm resolution SAR satellites into orbit. Each spacecraft has established communication. The new satellites will serve ICEYE's commercial constellation alongside dedicated national missions, including ICEYE US, the Polish Armed Forces' MikroSAR program, and CTI Aeroespacial, representing Força Aérea Portuguesa | Portuguese Air Force, CEiiA // Centre of Engineering and Product Development, and GEOSAT in the Atlantic Constellation initiative. With this deployment, ICEYE continues to increase sovereign imaging capacity and resilience for governments that require rapid, reliable, and high-fidelity persistent awareness, day or night and through any weather. Rafal Modrzewski, CEO of ICEYE, said: "ICEYE protects sovereign nations from space. The era of relying on a single, expensive satellite for national security is ending. Governments now understand that resilient constellations of many satellites are what give them real intelligence advantage, with answers in minutes instead of days. That is the shift from strategic to tactical timelines, and it changes everything about how nations defend themselves. Every satellite we launch brings our customers closer to that reality, and we are building the industrial capacity to keep pace with the demand." Read more: https://hubs.li/Q048YrsD0 Video: SpaceX
