Team Chane from Terminal Botlek and Nieuwe Maas is training hard for a meaningful reason. At Chane, teamwork goes beyond our daily operations. It is also about coming together for causes that truly matter. This June 21 to 26, colleagues Luca Bignotti, Arnout van Mil, Ingmar Klerks, and Bram Van Roermund will represent Chane in the Giro di KiKa. Over the course of five days in Italy, they will take on a demanding challenge, cycling long distances and climbing significant elevation each day: • 🚴100 to 130 km per day • 🚵 Approximately 3,000 meters of elevation daily A tough challenge, but one they are fully committed to. Their shared goal is to raise as much as possible for Stichting Kinderen Kankervrij (KiKa) supporting vital research to improve survival rates and make treatments less intensive for children. Grischa Sauerberg joined Chane as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on April 1. Grischa brings more than two decades of international experience across the energy and industrial sectors, including senior leadership roles at Shell. Most recently, as Chief Commercial Officer at Skeleton Technologies, he contributed to the development of the business and its commercial organization. His appointment reflects Chane’s focus on further developing its commercial organization and strengthening its role in customers’ supply chains, in the context of a changing energy landscape. We are proud to be part of Girls’ Day 2026 as Chane. At Chane Terminal Botlek, we welcomed today first year girls from Insula College in Dordrecht for an introduction to the world of terminals and the port. The Chane team consisting of Geeske Steeneken, Joyce Houtepen, Nikki De Grauw, Elles van der kieft, Robert P.W. Pronk, Kristien Nelis, Evelien Pingen, Pegah Hedayati, José Huizer and Olger Rutte organized an inspiring program about our work and the many opportunities within the industry. During the program, the students were introduced to safety through an interactive VR safety game, explored the equipment and tools we use in our daily operations, and even had the opportunity to take photos in our PBMs. For us, it is important to connect with young talent at an early stage. We want to show how diverse, innovative, and exciting working in the port can be, and that there are opportunities here for everyone. Today, hundreds of girls are discovering what really happens behind the scenes in the Port of Rotterdam. It is an experience we hope will inspire them, break stereotypes, and open up new possibilities for the future Together, we are building the future of the port. A new step forward for circular chemistry: Blue Circle Olefins and Chane have signed an Option & Service Agreement supporting the development of a 200 kton circular Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) facility at Chane’s Terminal Nieuwe Maas in the Port of Rotterdam. Ralph Koekkoek, CEO of Blue Circle Olefins: "We are pleased to partner with Chane in Rotterdam. This location offers strong synergies and enables us to move forward with site-specific engineering. Dr. Fabian Ziegler, CEO of Chane: "This agreement shows how our terminal infrastructure can support new industrial projects by efficiently integrating methanol-based feedstocks into the port ecosystem."
