Datacloud - a techoraco brand

Some of you know that for the last couple of years we've opened #DatacloudGlobalCongress with an all-female panel (although last year's featured the wonderful Otto Kreiter who very gamely offered to don a wig 😆). But what you not might know.... This year we are closing with an all-female keynote. Why are we doing this? Representation matters, role models matter and so often women lead conversations about gender equity and inclusion. I don't know any women who decline these conversations or see their need. We all feel the duty of improving the world for those that come after us (I include our male allies within this purpose too). That said, change happens when inclusion becomes BAU. These are leaders tackling major industry decisions, driving the strategic direction of our digital infrastructure topology and I can't wait for the day where our "no all male panel" KPI becomes a "no single gender panel" KPI... ...and, believe me, no "man-els" is harder than you think because whilst representation matters tokenism and performative diversity can be damaging bi-products and pitfalls of blanket KPIs. BUT (and this is a big BUT): This line-up is not tokenism. This line-up isn't about gender. This line-up is about giving our industry access to the thinking of some serious industry heavyweights as they debate issues which will have global ramifications. Everyone should listen.
