Most women in India buy innerwear from a store where a man at the counter tells them their size. They don't know their own measurements. Bra sizing has been made unnecessarily complicated - A, B, C, D, cup, underwire, push-up. At our Lunch & Learn in Jaipur (hosted with Meta), Vaani Chugh, Co-Founder of D'chica, shared how this single insight shaped every decision they made — product, positioning, communication. Her customer wasn't looking for sexy models or fashion-forward campaigns. She wanted comfort. She wanted something made for her body. She wanted to feel as comfortable in her innerwear as men do in their basics. That clarity is rare. And it's what separates a brand from a product. 🎙 Vaani Chugh, Co-Founder, D'chica Essentials 📍 BotSpace x Meta Lunch & Learn | Jaipur #D2C #BotSpace #Meta #Dchica #Jaipur #BotSpace #Ecommerce #SharkTankIndia

"If really given a chance, I wouldn't start a D2C business." Coming from someone who acquires and builds D2C brands for a living, that hits different. His point wasn't that D2C is dead. It's that the definition has changed. It's no longer "direct to consumer." It's "disruptor to a consumer." And if you're not disrupting something - the product, the experience, the packaging, the marketing - you're just adding noise. He shared the example of a US brand that found a gap in "evening cocktail stationery." Gratitude notes for a specific time of day. Nobody owned that space. That's the level of niche thinking required today. His advice for anyone thinking about starting: spend 3–6 months researching like a researcher, not an entrepreneur. Gone are the days of "list it and they'll come." 🎙 Saurabh Sharma, Founder & CEO, Futurewagon 📍 BotSpace x Meta Lunch & Learn | Jaipur Watch full video here: https://lnkd.in/giC6xT95 #D2C #FutureWagon #Ecommerce #BotSpace #Jaipur

Uber signed Virat Kohli as brand ambassador. Everyone expected consumer favorability to go through the roof. It flopped on the consumer side. But it killed it on the driver side. Kohli was put in the driver's seat - and for the first time, drivers felt valued. The community that always felt overlooked finally saw themselves represented. Ogilvy made the campaign. They didn't predict it either. Ankit Agarwal shared this story at our Lunch & Learn in Jaipur to make a broader point about early-stage brands: Stop assuming you know what message lands where. Hire a great copywriter on day one. Seed your product to 20–30 small creators with zero compulsion to post. And when early-stage founders say "this creator doesn't fit my brand" -Ankit's response: "You don't have a brand yet." Before you deploy a single rupee in performance marketing, figure out if people even understand your story the way you envisioned it. 🎙 Ankit Agarwal, Ex-Head of Digital Marketing, Uber 📍 BotSpace x Meta Lunch & Learn | Jaipur #D2C #Uber #ViratKohli #BotSpace #Meta #Jaipur #Ecommerce

Your happiest customers aren't your biggest risk. Neither are the angriest ones. It's the silent middle. They noticed a pattern - customers who bought the product, never complained, never returned it, but also never came back. No feedback. No repeat purchase. Just gone. So the team started reaching out personally. Calling them. Buying them coffee. And they found the smallest things were silently killing loyalty — packaging that didn't feel premium enough, an Instagram tag that was never acknowledged. The insight is simple but easy to miss: if nobody's complaining, you're probably not getting feedback at all. 🎙 Manas J., VP & Head of Product, Noise 📍 BotSpace x Meta Lunch & Learn | Jaipur Watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/giC6xT95 #D2C #Jaipur #Noise #BotSpace #Meta #Ecommerce

150+ brands registered. Jaipur showed up. 🇮🇳 BotSpace × Meta — our first major event, and a clear takeaway: The ecosystem is deeper than we give it credit for. What stood out wasn’t just the numbers. It was who showed up. Operators building quietly. Brands figuring things out the hard way. And a level of openness in conversations that you don’t usually get in rooms like this. We went in expecting a good event. We walked out convinced there’s a lot more happening across markets like Jaipur than most people see. Grateful to: - The speakers who kept it honest and grounded - Meta for backing this with us - The BotSpace team for pulling this off end-to-end This is just the starting point. We’ll be sharing key conversations, clips, and insights from the panels soon. And we’re committing to doing more of these — better, sharper, and across more cities.
