Google made virtual try-on a default feature in Search. ↴ Every product listing is now a try-on opportunity. No separate app, no extra step. Built in, for every brand, whether they're ready or not. The race just shifted. It's no longer about whether you have try-on. It's about whether your imagery holds up when someone uses it. Try-on technology is only as good as the source image. Flat lighting, inconsistent framing, garments that don't sit right on a model — the try-on experience inherits all of it. Google built the infrastructure. Brands still have to show up with imagery that works at scale. The brands that invested in consistent, brand-grade AI photography are walking into this ready. The ones still running inconsistent catalog shoots have a new and very concrete reason to change that. Quality imagery was always an advantage. Now it's table stakes. See you on Botika!

A lot has shipped on Botika lately, and every update is built around the same goal: helping your brand scale content without losing consistency. New AI models joined the gallery, custom model creation is available for brands that want their own signature faces (our team builds them with you), background controls give you tighter creative direction, and Editorial Photos lets you build campaign-ready visuals in a single workflow. Brands are splitting into two camps: "No AI ever." and "AI for everything." Aerie by AEO, Inc. just made the loudest statement in the first camp. They committed to never using AI-generated people in their ads, brought in Pamela Anderson, and ended the spot with her saying straight to camera: "You can't prompt this." As AI imagery becomes standard practice, the "100% real" pledge is turning into a brand differentiator. But there's a third path that keeps getting skipped in this conversation. The backlash is not against AI imagery. It's against AI that uses real faces without consent, replaces real people without acknowledgment, and treats ethics as a cost to cut. Botika was built differently. Every model is 100% AI-generated from scratch. No real person's likeness used as reference, no licensing grey areas, no synthetic humans built from scraped data. Brands using Botika don't have to choose between efficiency and ethics. The camps are forming but the choice was never really pro-AI or anti-AI. It was always about what kind of AI you're willing to stand behind. Read more about it on our blog, link in the comments.

Working with AI models for HiCCUP . I wanted to share some frames from the AI-powered shoots we created for HiCCUP . In this project, we used Botika ’s AI models and aimed to explore a new visual language by combining creativity with technology. I am happy to come with you on your digital journey. Why I prefer to be embedded into the team rather than one-off AI projects. Early on I’d take a project. Come into a brand. Integrate tools. Run training. Leave. Then the calls would come. “Maggie, the team’s gone back to the old way.” The problem wasn’t the work. It was the model. A two-week sprint can’t change how a team works day to day. Two days a week for several months can. I’m there when the new brief lands. I’m there when someone gets stuck. I’m working on their live projects, not theoretical exercises. By the time a retainer ends, the team runs the workflow independently. They don’t call me back. Because the skills transferred and the process stuck. If you’ve tried the “bring someone in for a project” approach and it didn’t last, there’s a better way. DM me — happy to chat about what a retainer looks like. Know a brand that keeps losing momentum with AI? Forward this to them. We built Botika for fashion brands that need on-model content without the production overhead. But some of the most interesting work we're seeing isn't coming from brands directly. It's coming from the creators and agencies producing content on their behalf. Today we're launching the Botika Creative Partner Program — a way for the people already doing this work to do more of it, with us behind them. If you're a photographer, stylist, agency, or consultant creating AI fashion content for brands, this is built for you. Apply here: https://lnkd.in/dZ5rXsZn
