Compact lighting for clear machine status indication. Our SmartLight Rigid is designed for industrial applications where traditional signal towers are not practical. Its slim, space‑saving design combined with high light quality enables reliable and clearly visible status indication – even in confined installation spaces. With IO‑Link, lighting functions can be flexibly parameterized and easily integrated into existing automation structures. Applications without IO‑Link benefit from flicker‑free brightness control via PWM or external dimming devices, ensuring stable and uniform illumination. Thanks to 180° visibility and 100% diffuse light distribution, our solution provides glare‑free, homogeneous light – suitable both for signaling and for illuminating defined areas. Typical use cases include: ā–Ŗ Intralogistics – milk runs, busy lights, presence indication ā–Ŗ Mechanical engineering – direct machine and system status display ā–Ŗ Special machine construction – colored illumination of cabins and lines ā–Ŗ Manual workstations – compact signaling for ergonomic work environments A robust metal housing ensures long service life and effective heat dissipation, while the clean design with invisible LED dots supports a modern machine appearance. With CE and UL certification, our SmartLight Rigid is suitable for global use. šŸ‘‰ Get more infos about our new SmartLight Rigid: https://lnkd.in/dRiJBDuB

  • 1GigE still works. But does your system scale beyond it? For years, 1GigE has been the go‑to camera interface in industrial vision – long cable lengths, flexible multi‑camera setups, and standard Ethernet hardware with no proprietary lock‑in. Today, rising resolution and frame rates are pushing systems toward dual GigE, N‑BaseT and 10GigE. And that’s where things change. More bandwidth doesn’t just increase throughput – it shifts the bottleneck to the host system. Packet handling and data movement start to place real pressure on the CPU. Looking further ahead to 25GigE and 100GigE, classic approaches reach their limits. This is where architectures evolve: ā–Ŗ DMA instead of CPU‑bound transfers ā–Ŗ RDMA with RoCEv2 to drastically reduce acquisition overhead ā–Ŗ A scalable Ethernet path that can compete with high‑end frame grabber systems – without proprietary constraints The key question is no longer ā€œWhich camera interface is fast enough?ā€ It’s ā€œWhich system architecture can scale reliably toward 100GigE?ā€ šŸ‘‰ Read the full article on our blog: https://lnkd.in/dfUBGaHD

  • Hands-on Experience Meets Precision – CNC Project at Rudolf-Diesel-Fachschule Nuremberg Three prospective mechatronics technicians at Rudolf‑Diesel‑Fachschule Nuremberg took on a demanding challenge during their second year of advanced training: As part of their final project, they are designing and building a custom CNC milling machine from the ground up. The machine is designed to process wooden panels up to 100 Ɨ 80 cm and enables, among other things: ā–Ŗ precise contour milling ā–Ŗ fine engraving ā–Ŗ highly repeatable operation through reliable referencing The setup includes, among other components: ā–Ŗ a rigid frame made of Bosch aluminum profiles ā–Ŗ a Beckhoff control system ā–Ŗ a 3.5‑kW milling spindle driven by an SE frequency inverter ā–Ŗ inductive Balluff sensors for precise axis homing Accurate referencing is particularly critical when using stepper motors – since they lose their absolute position after every restart, the sensors ensure safe and repeatable homing to the machine’s reference points. We are very pleased to support this dedicated project with selected products – helping to promote hands‑on education, initiative, and solid technical expertise.šŸ‘ šŸ‘‰ The complete project and the CNC machine in action can be seen on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dmxWJxBY
