Announcing our 1st keynote speaker for the Nuclear Safety & Risk Forum on the 17th September - Adrian Bull MBE, As current president of the Nuclear Institute and Director at the Dalton Nuclear Institute, University of Manchester, Adrian is expertly placed to highlight the impact of the UK’s Nuclear Taskforce Review and what this means in practice for the industry. Commenting on his keynote, Adrian shares: “As we collectively look to implement the recommendations of the Nuclear Regulatory Task Force, the Safety & Risk Forum could not be more timely. Balancing the risks of doing nothing against those of taking action has always been a tricky challenge, and doing so under new, streamlined regulation brings additional factors to consider, which will be the focus of this event”. From Apollo 13 to today’s R&D: digital twins are redefining the link between simulation and experimentation. In an interview published by Springer Nature blog, Victor Richet, Digital Learning From Experience Program Director at Assystem, presents how digital twins can constitute a key lever to anticipate outcomes, reduce costly testing and improve reproducibility. Their value is particularly strong in sectors like nuclear, where every experiment comes with high safety, cost and regulatory constraints. “Digital twin technologies aren’t a replacement for experiments, but they do reduce trial and error, increasing the likelihood of getting things right the first time.” Victor Richet. 👉 Read his full contribution and the complete article here: https://lnkd.in/gmVBA8ih
