Summer can be a vulnerable time in eating disorder recovery. Changes in routine, travel, family dynamics, and increased downtime can challenge even well-established recovery efforts. Alsana's Two-Week Intensives provide focused, short-term support for clients who may benefit from additional structure and accountability before a lapse becomes a relapse. Available virtually and in-person at PHP and IOP levels of care, these programs help individuals strengthen recovery skills and regain momentum. At Alsana, we believe recovery is an ongoing story. When challenges arise, timely intervention can help clients continue moving forward. If you're working with a client who could benefit from additional support this summer, we invite you to learn more about our Two-Week Intensives.

  • We are honored to support this year's BIPoC Eating Disorders Conference as a sponsor and exhibitor. Eating disorders affect people of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds, yet barriers to diagnosis, treatment access, representation, and culturally responsive care continue to impact many individuals within BIPoC communities. Events like this conference create important opportunities for education, collaboration, advocacy, and meaningful conversations about how we can build a more inclusive future for eating disorder treatment and recovery. At Alsana, we believe every individual deserves Soul Hearted care that honors their unique experiences and identity. We are proud to stand alongside fellow clinicians, providers, advocates, and organizations working to expand access to care and support lasting recovery. As a virtual exhibitor, we're excited to engage with attendees from across the country, share resources, and contribute to conversations that help advance equitable, affirming care for all. We look forward to being part of this important conversation. 🫶🏼 #BIPOCEatingDisordersConference #EatingDisorderTreatment #MentalHealthCare #BehavioralHealth #HealthEquity #EatingDisorderRecovery #ProviderCommunity #Alsana

  • Finding the right level of care at the right time can make a meaningful difference in the recovery journey. But navigating treatment options across states, programs, and levels of care isn’t always straightforward. To help simplify that process, we’ve introduced a new interactive map designed for both providers and families. This tool offers a clear, accessible way to explore Alsana’s treatment offerings across the country, including our in-person and virtual programs, levels of care, and geographic availability. For referral partners, it’s a streamlined resource to support clinical decision-making and ensure clients are connected to appropriate care. For families and individuals, it provides greater clarity during what can often feel like an overwhelming search for support. At Alsana, we believe access to care should feel navigable, not complicated. This is one small step toward making that possible. We invite you to explore the map and share it with colleagues, clients, and families who may benefit. Head to the comments to view the interactive map! #EatingDisorderRecovery #MentalHealthCare #HealthcareInnovation #PatientAccess #BehavioralHealth #ContinuumOfCare #ProviderResources

  • One of the most important clinical decisions providers make is recognizing when outpatient support may no longer be enough. Higher levels of care like PHP and IOP can provide additional structure, meal support, therapeutic intervention, and multidisciplinary collaboration during critical moments in recovery. In our latest blog post, we explore key signs that may indicate a client could benefit from a higher level of eating disorder care. #BehavioralHealth #EatingDisorderTreatment #PHP #IOP #MentalHealthProfessionals #HealthcareLeadership

As the school year approaches, many adolescents in eating disorder recovery face a complex transition: balancing academic expectations, social dynamics, and the ongoing work of healing. Preparing for that transition ahead of time can make a meaningful difference. Our Back-to-School Blueprint is a four-week intensive designed to help adolescents strengthen recovery skills before returning to the classroom. Through structured therapeutic programming, daily support, and real-world skill integration, clients are able to build confidence, reinforce coping strategies, and navigate school-related stressors in a supportive, clinically grounded environment. Referrals are now open. We welcome the opportunity to connect and explore whether this program may be a fit for the adolescents and families you serve. Refer a client via the link in comments below ⬇️ 📖 Head to our blog to learn more about our Back-to-School Blueprint: https://bit.ly/49gW7Al

Recovery is uniquely personal, but clinical progress matters. Alsana’s 2025 Patient Outcomes offer a meaningful look at how clients progressed across multiple dimensions of care, reinforcing our commitment to measurement-based treatment, transparency, and continuous refinement. Key findings include: • 29% reduction in eating disorder symptom severity during treatment, with average discharge scores falling below the EDE-Q remission threshold • measurable improvements in anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation • nearly 22-point quality of life improvement for residential clients • strong patient experience outcomes, with 92% of patients saying they would recommend Alsana to others seeking eating disorder care and 94% reporting high satisfaction with their treatment experience Behind every data point is an individual navigating the work of recovery. Through Alsana’s Soul Hearted approach and Recovery Story framework, we remain committed to supporting healing that extends beyond symptom reduction and into sustainable, meaningful change. 📖 Read the full 2025 Patient Outcomes report: https://bit.ly/4nPWOGU #EatingDisorderRecovery #BehavioralHealth #MentalHealthTreatment #MeasurementBasedCare #PatientOutcomes

Why do we do this work? In this video, Alsana’s Chief Clinical Officer, Keesha Amezcua, LMFT, CEDS-C, LMFT, CEDS-C, reflects on what Alsana’s mission — to be a source of hope and healing in the world — means to her and why she continues to feel called to this work. For Keesha, this mission extends beyond treating eating disorders. It includes supporting the families, loved ones, and outpatient providers who walk alongside individuals in recovery and recognizing that healing is never isolated to one person alone. When care is grounded in authenticity, integrity, and shared purpose, its impact extends into families, communities, and the broader field. We’re grateful for leaders who hold this mission at the center of their work. #BehavioralHealth #EatingDisorderRecovery #MentalHealthLeadership #HealthcareLeadership #MissionDriven #ClinicalLeadership

Alsana is expanding its adolescent services at our Westlake Village outpatient location. We have launched an in-person Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adolescents, designed to provide a higher level of structured support for young people in eating disorder recovery while maintaining meaningful connection with family and community. Early intervention during adolescence can play a powerful role in recovery outcomes, and this program reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding access to specialized, compassionate care. We are now accepting inquiries for the program. We welcome referring providers and families to reach out to learn more about this new program and how we can support adolescents on their path to recovery. #EatingDisorderRecovery #AdolescentMentalHealth
