Once again, we are proud to celebrate the enduring partnership with the #2and3DPhotography conference team, led by Cécile van der Harten at the Rijksmuseum. Last week's conference in Amsterdam was truly outstanding. A special thank you to our Committee for representing the association at this globally renowned event, and to all our Members who contributed inspiring presentations, great energy, and meaningful conversations. It was wonderful to see the core values of AHFAP and #2and3D community reflected so clearly through the open exchange of experiences, collaborative discussions, and genuine connections with peers from across the globe. We hope to see many of you in Manchester later this year - stay connected!

We are thrilled to share that AHFAP’s 40th conference will take place at the stunning Stoller Hall in Manchester, on 9 November 2026. The Day II programme, including technical workshops, studio visits and roundtables, will be held the following day, 10 November, at the same venue and across the city. You may now submit proposals for conference presentations and Day II workshops via the form below. We invite you to participate in the below survey and contribute to the advancement of colour management practices in art documentation. The COLOURS project (https://colours-eccch.eu/) is mapping the state-of-the-art colour management toolkit for cultural heritage. Heritage imaging professionals are invited to share their current practices to help design better digital restoration and conservation tools. Survey Link:  https://lnkd.in/eMBUWhb3  (The survey takes max. 15 minutes to complete) Why participate? - Help define the requirements for the new ECCCH digital toolkit. - Contribute to standardized workflows for coloured heritage artifacts. - Ensure the voices of practitioners are heard in EU-funded research. The survey runs until the end of May 2026.  As a member of the COLOURS project consortium and the Colourlab (Norway), Giorgio Trumpy will be able to help with any questions or concerns.

A strong start to AHFAP’s Creative Perspectives series of talks and workshops! We were delighted to launch the inaugural session at the Victoria and Albert Museum, led by Paige Miller, whose zine workshop explored how cultural heritage practice informs artistic thinking and reimagines the archive as both tool and creative strategy. An inspiring afternoon of thoughtful exchange and discussion!
