  • What drives talent engagement in business services in Bosnia and Herzegovina? Most key drivers remain consistent with 2023, but their importance continues to intensify. Compensation is still the strongest motivator, especially as the cost of living rises. Right behind it are career development opportunities and skill-building, which rank among the top priorities across industries and roles. At the same time, work organization and personal autonomy are gaining significance. Employees increasingly seek flexibility that enables a sustainable work–life balance. Relationships with colleagues and direct managers also remain crucial for overall job satisfaction, retention, and performance. Company culture and organizational values are becoming more influential in shaping employee decisions and long-term engagement. The high value placed on autonomy — the ability to structure one’s work and manage responsibilities independently — highlights the ongoing shift toward more employee-centric workplaces in 2024. For a deeper look at talent trends in the business services sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you can find comprehensive insights from Manpower Bosnia and Herzegovina in the ABSL BiH Country Report 2025 here: https://lnkd.in/dwYt__Dn What factor is most important for you right now?

  • Lohnpartner d.o.o. is reshaping the way Austrian companies access talent by connecting them with highly skilled remote professionals from Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a strong focus on quality, transparency, and long-term partnership, the company delivers flexible staffing solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs—while simultaneously creating sustainable employment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In our conversation with Ismet Hurtić, CEO of Lohnpartner, he highlighted why this model works so well: companies from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland gain access to top professionals, benefit from significant cost savings, and avoid employment-related legal risks—without compromising quality. At the same time, Lohnpartner offers above-average salaries to its employees in Bosnia, helping retain local talent and directly supporting the domestic economy. Through a multi-stage recruitment process, skills testing, and continuous support, Lohnpartner ensures that only the most qualified candidates are matched with clients. Their nearshoring model enables companies to fill roles quickly, scale efficiently, and address growing talent shortages—while strengthening business ties between the DACH region and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 👉 Read the full story in the ABSL BiH Country Report 2025 here: https://lnkd.in/dwYt__Dn

  • Last summer, Popcorn Recruiters did something important for the local business services industry – they brought together the BPO community from across Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first BPO Real Talk. As the only agency in the region specialised in BPO recruitment, Popcorn noticed a gap: there was no real, open conversation about the challenges the industry is facing. So they gathered leading BPO companies in one room to openly discuss topics many usually avoid – salaries, benefits, sign-on bonuses, retention, leadership, and everyday operational realities. A key part of this story comes from our conversation with Benjamin Kadic Kadić, CEO & Founder of Popcorn Recruiters, who shared insights on scaling, talent shortages, and how RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) helps BPO companies hire faster and more efficiently by embedding experienced recruiters directly into internal teams. 👉 Read the full story in the ABSL BiH Country Report 2025 here: https://lnkd.in/dwYt__Dn

📢 We were happy to see representatives of 15 leading business networks, employers’ associations and chambers of commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina came together at a joint working breakfast in Sarajevo to discuss a shared priority: how Generation Z is entering—and reshaping—the labour market. 💬 The meeting, organised by the Agencija za rad i zapošljavanje Bosne i Hercegovine Agency for Labour and Employment of BiH (Ivan Barbalic) and the Social Innovation Incubator MUNJA (Jan Zlatan Kulenovic) through the STAR.study youth career-development platform, with the support of Open Society Foundations | Western Balkans and Telemach BH Foundation, created a dedicated space to identify concrete, synergistic ways for the business sector to be more directly and effectively involved in supporting young people’s transition into the labour market. With Gen Z expected to make up 30% of the global workforce by 2030, the discussion highlighted both challenges and opportunities: a growing skills and expectations gap, rapid labour-market transformation, and the need for earlier, smarter and more coordinated engagement with young people. 💡 Good practices such as Telemach Foundation’s JOBLAB programme (thank you Hajdi Mostic) showed that long-term investment in future skills and career readiness already delivers impact—while strong interest from business representatives confirmed readiness for joint action, shared learning and policy co-creation. 🚀 The STAR platform invited businesses to actively shape solutions through upcoming STARforum (spring 2026) and to directly engage with young people at STARfest 2026, reinforcing a clear message: 👉 Preparing Gen Z for the future of work is a shared responsibility—and a strategic investment. ✨ Huge thanks to: Foreign Investors Council Bosnia and Herzegovina - FIC Vanjskotrgovinska - Spoljnotrgovinska komora BiH Bit Alliance HRM Udruženje Udruženje poslodavaca u FBiH Asocijacija za internet trgovinu “eComm” u BiH ABSL Bosnia and Herzegovina AHK Bosnien und Herzegowina/Predstavništvo njemačke privrede u BiH AIIBH Associazione delle imprese italiane in Bosnia-Erzegovina Udruženje banaka Bosne i Hercegovine / Banks Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina / UBBiH Udruženje Društava Za Osiguranje U Fbih Udruženje poslovnih žena u BiH Hrvatski Poslovni Klub u BiH Biznis unija menadžera - BUM. ⭐ And of course thanks to the team: Sanela Mesanovic Husein Terzic Nera Haljevac Nafija Kurtić Hadžera Beganović Muftić Lamija Pridjevčić Mervan Miraščija
