A solo exhibition by Kirill Rave in the format of a total installation. The project is part of a series that includes past exhibitions by the artist dedicated to “wandering in the liminal spaces of one's own mind”: The Room, The Labyrinth, and now The Corner. The current exhibition combines images of a monastic cell, where absolute concentration and detachment from the outside world are possible, and the artist's experimental workshop, which in reality never existed outside his consciousness. This is a timeless space where the personal and the fictional are woven into an inseparable fabric, just as the physical and the digital have long been intertwined.

YГОΛ is an exhibition about movement along a closed perimeter, about walking “from corner to corner” — both as a physical action and as a metaphor for inner search. Here, one can “drive oneself into a corner” to confront the truth; “stand in the corner” — as in childhood, but voluntarily, to be alone with oneself; “find one's own point of view” — special, distorted, or, on the contrary, crystal clear. And finally, “put something (or yourself) at the forefront” — as an act of choice and priority.

Персональная выставка Кирилла Рейва в формате тотальной инсталляции. Проект входит в серию уже прошедших выставок художника, посвященных «блужданию в лиминальных пространствах собственного разума»: Комната, Лабиринт, а теперь Угол. В нынешней выставке совместились образы монашеской кельи, где возможна абсолютная сосредоточенность и отрешённость от внешнего мира, и экспериментальной мастерской художника, которой в реальности за пределами его сознания никогда не существовало. Это пространство вне времени, где личное и вымышленное сплетаются в неразделимую ткань так же, как уже давно переплелись между собой физическое и цифровое.

YГОΛ — это выставка о движении по замкнутому периметру, о хождении «из угла в угол» — как физическом действии, так и метафоре внутреннего поиска. Здесь можно «загнать себя в угол», чтобы столкнуться с истиной; «встать в угол» — как в детстве, но добровольно, чтобы остаться наедине с собой; «найти свой угол зрения» — особый, искажённый или напротив, кристально ясный. И, наконец, «поставить что-то (или себя) во главу угла» — как акт выбора и приоритетности.

There is a whole community of scientists, philosophers and futurologists who believe that the next stage of human development will be the liberation from the body and total digitalization - a complete, not a partial, transition from carbon to silicon. On one side it is life inside servers, and on the other side it is life in virtual clouds. They are aggregations of digital footprints, structures of the number of hours spent online. Sounds scary and mesmerizing at the same time, will the true soul be found in these experiments and will it be immortal?!

The boundaries of architecture and art are expanding exponentially every year. Countries and cities are developing unevenly, and human ambition, combined with opportunity, is creating bursts of unimaginable forms, structures, and spaces. The virtual environment is developing no less bizarrely, because with the absence of physics and physicality, many principles formed by society over many years are disappearing. Because of this, the concept of “ideal” becomes mythical, its transience and ephemerality forcing forms to change regularly, to be as unstable and eclectic as possible.

The “Fractal Deconstruction” series of works is a period of transition from modular fractal structures to architecture that has lost its primary purpose and function. The Metaverse environment provides an opportunity to recreate all the laws and rules of design, which focus more on key themes such as scale, time, and physics. The mutating, brutal sculptures of the virtual environment reflect the ephemerality and re-configurability of the world to come. Its laws and values are very far removed not only from oasis cities, but also from other understandable, popular, and generally accepted forms of the ideal.

Границы возможностей архитектуры и искусства расширяются с каждым годом в геометрической прогрессии. Страны и города развиваются неравномерно, человеческие амбиции в совокупности с возможностями создают всплески немыслимых форм, структур и пространств. Виртуальная среда развивается не менее причудливо, ведь с отсутствием физики и телесности пропадает множество принципов, сформированных обществом за долгие годы. Из-за этого понятие «идеал» становится мифическим, его скоротечность и эфемерность заставляют формы регулярно меняться, быть максимально непостоянными и эклектичными.

Серия работ «Фрактальная деконструкция» — это переходный период от модульных структур фракталов к архитектуре, потерявшей главенствующее назначение-функцию. Среда Метавселенной дает возможность заново создать все законы и правила проектирования, которые обращают внимание скорее на такие ключевые темы как масштаб, время и физика. Мутирующие брутальные скульптуры виртуальной среды отображают эфемерность и перестраиваемость грядущего мира. Его законы и ценности очень далеки не только от городов-оазисов, но и от другой понятной, популярной, общепринятой формы идеала.
