J/Teams Shine at Sloop Tavern YC Three Buoy Fiasco Race in Seattle
(Seattle, WA)- The Sloop Tavern Yacht Club in Seattle, WA, hosted its annual Three Buoy Fiasco this past weekend for the forty-three-boat fleet of enthusiastic sailors. The prescribed course of NWZMN marks was exactly 11.943 nm long. Each boat had their choice of whether to sail around that set of buoys either clockwise or counter-clockwise! The race attracted quite an eclectic fleet of J/teams, with most of them finishing the race, although a few took either RET or DNC's! In fact, just over one-third of the total fleet posted RET/DNCs. (Seattle, WA)- The Seattle Yacht Club concluded its two-month-long Tri-Island Series this past weekend for the fleet of passionate offshore racing sailors in the Pacific Northwest. With races taking place in and around Puget Sound, the three-race series consisted of the Smith Island Race, Vashon Island Race, and Blake Island Race. INTERGALACTIC Wins 2026 U.K. J/80 National Championship
(Poole, England)- The 2026 UK J/80 National Championship was hosted together with the International Paint Poole Regatta from 22nd to 25th May, 2026. The event was organized by the Combined Yacht Clubs of Poole: Royal Motor Yacht Club, Parkstone Yacht Club, Poole Yacht Club, and the Royal Ocean Racing Club. A half-dozen teams from the United Kingdom and Ireland enjoyed a festive six races for their nationals.
