Introduction to Digital Accessibility
Over 1 billion people (15% of the world's population) have a disability (or two or more) and yet, most of the internet is still inaccessible to those who use assistive technology to access the web. As a creator or contributor to developing a digital experience, you can change that. By creating usable experiences for people at the margins, we end up creating better experiences for everyone.
In this session with Elana Chapman, Accessibility Research Manager at Fable, she will go over the basics of digital accessibility. Fable is a leader in digital accessibility and works with clients across the world, including an ongoing partnership with Microsoft.
In this Master Class, you’ll learn:
-Disability concepts.
-Different types of assistive technology.
-How to leverage tools to test accessibility for your website or product.
This Master Class is intended for anyone involved in creating digital experiences—content creators, UX designers, product managers, QA testers, and developers. This Master Class will equip you with the knowledge to start creating inclusive digital experiences for assistive technology users.
