Recently IJM trained Polish and Ukrainian law enforcement officers in Warsaw to investigate human trafficking in the rapidly changing digital landscape. These first IJM-led trainings in Poland strengthened justice system capacity and laid groundwork for long-term protection and restoration for survivors while holding traffickers accountable.
IJM supports the bipartisan Safe Cloud Storage Act to modernize digital evidence handling, speed investigations and strengthen accountability for online child sexual abuse.
Romania is taking major steps to update its laws and better protect children from online sexual exploitation. Lawmakers and experts met in Bucharest to discuss changes to the Criminal Code that would ensure the law reflects today’s digital world and clearly recognizes that this form of abuse harms real children.
