Moving High Point Transit into the future! 

We have been working hard over the last year to learn about how HPTS is working for YOU, our customers.  We have solicited feedback, listened to your suggestions, and evaluated different ways to try and connect YOU with your medical, shopping, and employment opportunities. Click here for some background on our process. The "Short-Range Transit Plan" is still in a DRAFT phase, but we want to invite you to take a peek at what we're developing:

DRAFT SRTP - Feb 2026

High Point Transit System is the publicly owned and operated public transportation system for the City of High Point.  High Point Transit is responsible for all activities required by and related to the operation of a multi-faceted transit system for the citizens of High Point. This includes the operation of fixed route bus service, ADA complementary paratransit service, and door-to-door demand responsive service for the elderly.

Monday Through Saturday Service

The daily hours of operations for Transit are:

  • Weekday 5:45 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday 8:45 a.m. until 5:15 p.m.

We are excited to announce a partnership between High Point Transit and the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART). The Piedmont Transit Resources - a Regional Transit Information Center located at the PART Administrative Office where you can dial one number and find out all the information you need!

No need to change the number in your phone. We've done the work for you so that can you still call 336-889-7433 and your call will be routed to the Information Center. You can reach a Call Center representative between 6:30 AM and 8:00 PM Monday-Friday.
