I am looking for people that are passionate about dogs and like to spend time and work with dogs. A pack of 24 huskies is something different than having a pet dog at home. You will be able to join our animal assisted programs with kids and young adults and learn about it. I am educated in dog physiotherapy as well and there is the possibility to learn in this field as well. Beside the main topic the huskies we have bee hives and produce our own honey. There is a big garden with fruits and vegetables that needs maintainance. To sum it up our work here is mainly outdoors with nature and animals. Every day is different so its not possible to give you a long term daily structure in advance. There are some everyday tasks in the dogcare but the rest of the work depends on the weather and the season. As we live in a small village the main freetime activities are biking and hiking. More freetime options you find in cities around in your days off. Vienna is quite close and its possible to ta...

We are in the process of renovating an old house in the Pyrenees. There is only decorating to do such as stripping paint of walls and woodwork, and repainting. There might be the occasional carpentry to do also, nothing too complicated. We need help 5 hours per day, five days per week. Weeding, pruning trees, making paths. We are looking for help from two strong and healthy individuals to assist with a house redecorating project and gardening, trimming trees, path making etc. This requires physical strength and stamina. Please note, we cannot host anyone with any pre existing health issues, physical or mental (we are not medically trained to manage such conditions). We live in a small village with some shops and a climbing centre and a river just opposite the house. We have a quite a size garden where we grow vegetables, fruit bushes and trees. Here, we have spectacular mountain views on our doorstep, hiking trails through the mountains and forests, cycling paths, and skiing in the...

Hi, my name is Mary. I live on the border of NSW and Victoria, a town called Albury. There is a train service to Albury from Sydney about 9 hours and Melbourne about 5 hours train trip. I am happy to pick someone from the Albury railway station. Albury is a pretty town on the Hume Highway. It is inland on the Murray River and there are a lot of local attractions, vineyards, historical small towns, snow fields and many more, only a few hours drive. I am located in town, with the railway station and the airport not too far, about 15minutes drive. I am fully vaccinated and require the same of a helper. I only take Non-smokers (meaning you do not smoke at all, outside as well). Currently I am asking for 2.5hrs a day for board only. You can cook for yourselves, buy supplies locally and after cooking clean your area. I would like help with the garden and other general duties around the house, such as cleaning. If you are travelling this way, either going to Melbourne or locally and can hel...

We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane. It has great views over the bay and has good access to fishing, crabbing, safe swimming and boating. There is a fast and regular ferry to the mainland that takes 20 minutes. There are also several other islands nearby that can be explored including North Stradbroke Island that has wonderful beaches and walks and lots of wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, turtles and dolphin and - from June to October - humpback whales. Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Hi beautiful people! I’m Christine, a happy spirited former language and arts teacher working across two continents. Since I retired I work in the natural health field. I live on an urban block called The Roo‘s Pouch, where I maintain a sustainable vegetable garden and created a community of nice people living with me. I live in one of the three buildings on this sunny property which runs on rainwater harvesting. We avoid chlorine and contaminates by filtering, harmonizing and ionizing our water. So water conservation is part of life for me. The corner block is in a suburb of Maryborough. There are 3 beautiful public parks surrounding with lots of kangaroos hopping peacefully around, near to the Mary River. The historic city of Maryborough has a lot to offer and is the home town of Mary Poppins. We are only 30 min by car from the ocean in Hervey Bay with wale watching when in season. Hervey Bay is at the doorsteps of Fraser Island/K’Gari. I offer for single or couple a bedroom wit...

Howdy ! Come help to renovate an incredible cabin that was originally built as a log cabin in 1850! No experience necessary, only and openness and willingness to work and learn. I'm open to volunteers for just a couple days, a week or more. LOCATION: The cabin is in the forest on the top of a small mountain overlooking a peaceful lake on the outskirts of the town of Calumet (just a 10 min walk away). A ride down a 30 minuet mountain bike trail and your on the shore of Lake Superior! Only 5 minutes to the big lake beach if your driving ! Howdy, thank you for your interest in helping. The opportunity to volunteer with us is an excellent choice for those looking for a real New Orleans & Louisiana local experience while contributing to the community. It's an easy way to connect with a wonderful group of people and to get to know New Orleans! This is our tenth year to host HelpX volunteers at this location and it's been great! The volunteers have been a big help 🙂. LOCATION Our small Community Center is located in the heart of New Orleans. We are in Mid City only one block off Bayou St John and next to one of the largest city parks in the country. The French Quarter is only a short bike ride away and the streetcar stop nearby can get you to almost anywhere in the city. We feel that we are in the best location for a combination of nature/peace/health and city fun! Restaurants, music venues and grocery stores are in walking distance - some with local and organic options! A weekly farmer's market happens just two blocks...

We operate a retreat centre, hosting yoga, art, creative writing, hiking, cooking etc. retreats. Each week we have new groups of 12-20 people coming to stay. We are looking for people to provide kitchen help from March until November. The work consists primarily of preparing and serving tables, cleaning the kitchen and supporting the chef (e.g. chopping vegetables). During the winter we offer a possibility for one or two people to stay and help with garden work and maintenance. For most of this time we are closed to the public, so it is very quiet and not well-suited to someone looking for lots of company. Unlike the spring and autumn seasons, you will need to prepare your own meals. Helpers are expected to provide 30 hours per week, in return for board and accommodation - usually 5 hours per day and one day free each week. This can work well either for people traveling on their own or for two friends traveling together. Preferred stay, minimum 3 weeks. NEXT AVAILABILITY: FROM ...

After 16 years, and hosting almost 100 HelpXers, at our property in Larnook, in the Northern Rivers region, Steve and I have moved to a new place in Tenterfield, at the northern end of the New England Tableland. All of our reviews up until September 2024, are related to our previous place. We are now ready to accept HelpXers at our new place. Steve and I are a gay couple and we offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Tenterfield, the more you will get out of it. We have lots of small work jobs at present including lots of weeding and gardening, mowing, establishing herb and vege gardens, pruning and cutting back and some other work. Our property is situated a few kilometers west of the town of Tenterfield, in a quiet, rural area. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looki...

** next availability is in May helping with our rose harvest ** Our property is located 20 minutes from central Christchurch. We are a busy working couple who run a rose nursery from our home. We share our home with our 19 year old daughter, along with a Labrador and a Fox Terrier—so dog lovers are a must! Our helpers stay in a warm, private cottage with a double bed, bathroom, and kitchenette. Food for breakfast and lunch is provided for you to prepare in your own cottage, dinner is shared with us in the family home. If you enjoy cooking, that’s a definite bonus, and we appreciate help with clearing up after meals. The help required varies depending on the season and may include assisting in the rose nursery or general help around the house and property—wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. Helpers usually work around 4.5 hours per day and have one day off per week. Feel free to message with any questions.

We are a family of 2 adults, 4 kids, 1 dog and 1 cat (and soon to include chickens and then bees)! Alex is a Spanish and French speaker from Nicaragua who enjoys playing music, building and being a parent. Bonnie is an Aussie who loves growing flowers, crochet and being a parent. We live on our beautiful suburban/bush block. We are situated 300m from the beach (whales, swimming, surfing, fishing, walking, oysters, kangaroos, echidnas, snakes and dolphins!!). Although we kind of live in suburbia we aim to be as off grid and low tech as possible. We have only been here for about 6 months, so ALL projects are in the beginning stages, please dont arive expecting a pumping project. The accommodation you will be staying in is very rustic. It's a caravan that is yet to be set up (maybe that will be your first job?). In the meantime, you can stay in the house with us. There is a spare bedroom with ensuite attached and your own entry from outside. Its a very loud house, so you must be ok wit...

Looking for one more helper for APRIL and MAY 2026. And looking for 1-2 helpers for JUNE 2026 thank you. Hello! I used HelpX quite a lot back in 2014, while I was backpacking around Australia and had some great experiences and some wonderful hosts and I'm looking forward to meeting more wonderful people and being a wonderful host! I haven't had any volunteers yet as I've had lodgers and paying guests up until recently but I've included a photograph of my visitors book from activists, airbnb guests and friends coming to stay. I did a damp proof course on the kitchen in October 2025 and pretty much everything that could go wrong has gone wrong so I haven't been able to rent my spare rooms for a few months while sorting things out and the cats are really starting to suffer from the lack of an extra human companion and then I remembered HelpX so here I am! I bought a fixer upper house two years ago and I'm currently renovating it to turn it into a small bespoke massage and yoga trainin...

Hello there, I'm looking for travellers, nature lovers, people interested in permaculture and a different way of living. I'm Erik, class '88, I live in northern Italy where I've been building a permaculture project for the last few years. I've always been a dreamer, a wanderer seeking adventure and a deeper connection with Nature. After few years of working and travelling the world I decided to start this other journey here 1,5 hours drive from my birth place. As a sensitive person, Healing is a good portion of what drove this life choice into being, as I find it more gentle and sustainable for ourselves and the environment. On a more practical note, the land for now is taken care of for self sufficiency and not as a businness. I can offer food and accomodation in exchange of 3/4 hours of work, 5 days a week.. Most jobs are to do with the garden and the orchard, from planting out vegetables, tree planting, weeding, spreading compost, wood chipping, mulching, all depending on the tim...

Hello kind stranger! Our names are Claire and Michiel, we're a young Franco-Belgian family living on an old farmstead near the coast of Wissant, North of France. For 8 years now we are bringing the old farmhouses back to life, while also bringing up our two daughters: Fleur (5 yo) and Perle (3 yo). We've been hosts since 2021 and we love the life that a group of volunteers brings to our place. Making you discover French culture, nature and the sea helps us to enjoy it even more ourselves. Teaching French and picking up on your languages widens our world view and helps our kids to be future globetrotters - like you! The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship. So far we've made an old stable into our home, we've renovated a 'longère' (long farmbuilding) into a woodworker's workshop, our workshop and office space, we've landscaped the c...

The different nationalities we're welcoming make us feel like travelling the world while staying at home. Every day we're hosting, it widens our horizon and gives us love, laughter and friendship.
