Mobile Printing
With our Mobile Print Service, you can use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the library's printer from anywhere. Simply submit documents for printing and come to the library to pay for (10 cents per page), release, and pick up your printing. Use this link: print.princh.com. Printing will be available for 48 hours from the time you send it to the printer.

HAPL provides curbside/lobby pickup at all locations. Call your local library for details.

Telescope Available for Checkout
Thanks to the generosity of the Greater Hazleton Area Astronomical Society, the library now has an Orion StarBlast 4.5 telescope available for checkout. Patrons may borrow the telescope for one week by asking at the Reference Desk. It can only be checked out on an adult’s library card. Borrowers will also receive an instruction manual, red light flashlight, and various stargazing maps and guides.
Casual Book Club - Adult Program
The next casual book club meeting is Thursday, April 9 at 5:30 in the Community Room, accessible from the Green Street entrance. Bring whatever book you are currently reading to share and anything else book-related you want to discuss!
Local Author Fair
The Hazleton Area Public Library is hosting a local author fair on Saturday, April 18 from 12:00 - 2:00 in the Reference Department. It is free for all ages to attend. Both adult and children's authors from around the Northeast Pennsylvania area will be present to sell and sign copies of their newest releases, as well as answer questions from attendees. Light refreshments will be provided. Please register in advance by calling the Reference Staff at 570-454-2961.
National Library Week
National Library Week starts April 19 and runs through April 25. Stay tuned for a week of Library Joy - themed fun at the Hazleton Area Public Library!
Board Game Night
The library is hosting a board game night for adults on Tuesday, April 21 from 6;00 – 7:30. It will take place in the library's Community Room (Green Street entrance) and it is free for all adults to attend. We will provide plenty of classic games, as well as several new ones! Participants are welcome to bring their own games as well. Please register by calling the Reference Staff at 570-454-2961 ext. 2.
Caregiving Panel
The Hazleton Area Public Library will be hosting a Caregiving Panel on Saturday, May 2 from 11:00 - 2:00. A variety of guest speakers from various local social service agencies will present on different aspects of the caregiving experience, including meal preparation, medication management, and mental health. Refreshments will be provided, along with flyers and other handouts with helpful resources for caregivers. This program is free to attend and registration is required. Please register by calling the library at 570-454-2961, or by visiting the calendar tab on this website or our Facebook page.
Adult Craft Class – Air-Dry Clay Oil Diffusers
Please join us for our two-part adult craft class for April and May, where we will be making air-dry clay oil diffusers. In the first class on Monday,April 30, you’ll choose a mold (6 designs) and press the clay into it. In the second class on Thursday, May 28, we’ll paint and seal your piece. Things may get a little messy, so please dress accordingly. All supplies will be provided. We will meet in the Community Room (Green Street entrance). Space is limited so please call the Reference Staff to reserve your spot at 570-454-2961.
