Something didn't fit right or wasn't what you expected — it happens. You have 21 days from the day your order arrives to return it, no restocking fees, no complicated process. Here is exactly how it works.
What You Need to Know Before Starting a Return
Return window: 21 days from delivery.
Restocking fee: None.
Your refund: Goes back to the original card you paid with. Once we receive your package and finish inspection — up to 5 to 10 business days — the refund hits your card within 2 to 3 business days after that.
Shipping charges: Not refundable. That covers both your original order and the cost of shipping the return back to us.
Condition: Items need to come back unworn, unwashed, and unaltered with tags still on. Anything that shows signs of wear or washing unfortunately cannot be accepted.
Items That Cannot Be Returned or Exchanged
A few categories are final sale. We want to be upfront about these so there are no surprises after an order is placed:
Clearance items. Prices on clearance reflect the discount already applied. These are final sale — unless your item arrives damaged or we sent the wrong one, in which case contact us and we will take care of it.
Dropship orders. These ship directly from the manufacturer and are final sale. If your dropship item arrives damaged or incorrect, reach out within 21 days and we will make it right.
Decorated and customized orders. Once a shirt has been screen printed, embroidered, DTG printed, or decorated in any way, it cannot be returned. The same applies to cancellations — once a decoration order goes into production it cannot be stopped or changed.
Intimate apparel. Hygiene regulations prevent us from accepting returns on intimate garments once they have been worn or tried on. We appreciate your understanding on this one.
Costumes. All costume items are final sale.

How to Return an Item
Step 1 — Request your Return Authorization (RA) number first. Every return needs an RA number before anything ships back to us. Head to the Return & Exchanges page, enter your invoice number, and submit your request. Your RA number and the exact warehouse address to send your return to will be emailed to you within one business day — usually sooner.
Step 2 — Write your RA number on the outside of the box. Please write it on the box itself rather than just the shipping label. This helps our warehouse team identify and process your return the moment it arrives, without any delays.
Step 3 — Ship it back. Any carrier works. We do recommend using a tracked shipping service — it gives you confirmation of delivery and peace of mind if anything unexpected happens in transit. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
Step 4 — Let us know it is on the way. Once shipped, send a quick email to Support@gotapparel.com with your tracking number. This lets us match your return to your account as soon as it arrives and gets your inspection moving faster.
Step 5 — Your refund. We inspect returned items within 5 to 10 business days of receiving them. Once inspection is complete your refund is processed within 2 to 3 business days back to your original payment card. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as it is done.
How Exchanges Work
If you need a different size, color, or style, the quickest way to handle it is to return what you have and place a new order at the same time — you do not need to wait for your refund to land before reordering.
Start by requesting an RA number using the same process described above. While your return is in transit, go ahead and place your new order so it ships right away. Once we receive and inspect your return, the refund processes within 2 to 3 business days. Using the same payment card for both orders makes things smoother on our end, though it is not required.
Please note that all exchanges require an RA number before items are sent back — this keeps the process moving quickly for everyone.
International Orders
Refunds on international orders are issued minus the original shipping and handling charges. Returning the item to us is the buyer's responsibility, with the same 21-day return window applying from the date of receipt. Once we receive and inspect the return, the standard 2 to 3 business day refund timeline applies.
Cancelling or Changing an Order
Because orders are processed and shipped quickly — most go out the same day they are placed — we are generally not able to modify or cancel an order once it has been submitted. If you realize something is wrong right after ordering, call us immediately at : 1-866-847-8678 and we will do everything we can to catch it before it ships.
Decoration orders are an exception in a different way — once placed they go straight into production and cannot be cancelled or changed at any stage.
