FAQ

Saving FAQ

What chain and asset does Saving support?
Saving is built specifically for USDC on Base — chosen for low fees, instant settlement, and strong stablecoin support.
Can I withdraw early from Saving?
No. Saving is time-locked. Funds unlock strictly by schedule.
Can someone else deposit into my saving plan?

Yes.

Anyone can add funds to your saving plan.

All funds remain locked until the unlock date, and only you, the owner, can receive them when unlocked.

What if I don't reach my goal?

You still get back what you saved.

If you set a $1,000 goal but only saved $500 by the unlock date, you can claim the full $500 — no penalty, no forfeit.

The goal is a target, not a requirement. The lock is the lock.

Has the Saving contract been audited?
Not yet — formal audit is on the roadmap. Until then: code is open source, contract is non-upgradable, no admin keys exist. Start small.

Vest FAQ

What is Vest used for?
Vest is used to release USDC to another wallet over time with on-chain, deterministic schedules.
How do I get USDC on Base?

Buy USDC on an exchange and withdraw it to the Base network.

Flowvest currently supports USDC on Base only.

Why is the Claim button unavailable?

The Claim button is enabled only when funds are available.

If disabled, your vest may not have reached the next release yet. Funds are released over time based on the vesting schedule.

Can I cancel a vest and get funds back?

Partially.

The sender can terminate the vest after a certain period:

  • Released funds go to the recipient
  • Unreleased funds return to the sender

Termination is not always available.

Do funds expire if not claimed?

No.

Unclaimed funds remain in the contract and can be claimed anytime.

Are payments based on calendar months?

No.

Flowvest does not use calendar months. V1.1 uses fixed-length periods from the vest start (for example 14-day or 30-day plans), not wall-calendar alignment. Funds become claimable at each period boundary. This keeps on-chain behavior consistent and predictable.

Security

Is Flowvest safe?

Yes.

  • No custody: Funds are held by the contract
  • No admin withdrawal: No one can extract user funds
  • Parameters only increase: Limits can only be raised, never reduced
  • Managed by Safe multisig
Can Flowvest access my funds?

No.

All funds are controlled by the smart contract.

No individual or team can move funds arbitrarily.

Will Flowvest stay free forever?

Public Beta is free. After audit and once we hit $50k TVL or 100 active plans, we'll launch V2 with these fees:

  • · Saving: 0.3% on claim (only when you unlock)
  • · Vest: 0.5% on creation
  • · Recipient claim, terminate, top-up: always free

Founding Users (anyone using V1.1) get lifetime fee waivers on their first 5 plans.

If your issue is not listed above, please contact: [email protected]

Ready to lock something?

Start small. Lock for 90 days. See how it feels.
