What Powers Our Calculations

• Swiss Ephemeris: high-precision planetary positions are used where timing and degrees matter.
• Deterministic calculations: the same inputs always produce the same outputs (no randomness).
• Time-zone correction logic: local time & offsets are normalized before ephemeris lookup.
• House systems & rules: calculators follow explicit rulesets (Vedic or Western) by tool.

When a report is “ephemeris-aware”, it means the interpretation is anchored to computed positions—not generic text alone.

Time‑Zone & Location Logic (Why It Matters)

Accurate astrology requires accurate time. Even a small time-zone or daylight-shift error can change Lagna, house cusps, and timing windows.

• Input normalization: birth time is converted to a consistent reference before calculation.
• Location awareness: latitude/longitude influence house-based calculations and some timing elements.
• Edge-case handling: we validate missing or ambiguous inputs and surface limitations.

Multi‑Layer Validation

We cross-check key layers so a single weak input does not silently produce misleading certainty:

• Moon: sign and lunar context validation (emotional timing patterns).
• Lagna / Ascendant: sensitivity checks where birth time precision is critical.
• Dasha / progression logic: rule-based period mapping where supported by tool.
• Transit logic: current planetary movement aligned against natal degrees for timing.
