(Perl) Transition from Http.QuickPutStr to Http.HttpNoBody
Provides instructions for replacing deprecated QuickPutStr method calls with HttpNoBody. Note: This example requires Chilkat v11.0.0 or greater.
use chilkat();
$success = 0;
$http = chilkat::CkHttp->new();
# ...
# ...
$url = "https://example.com/test";
# ------------------------------------------------------------------------
# The QuickPutStr method is deprecated:
$responseBody = $http->quickPutStr($url);
if ($http->get_LastMethodSuccess() == 0) {
print $http->lastErrorText() . "\r\n";
exit;
}
# ...
# ...
# ------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Do the equivalent using HttpNoBody.
# Your application creates a new, empty HttpResponse object which is passed
# in the last argument and filled upon success.
$responseOut = chilkat::CkHttpResponse->new();
$success = $http->HttpNoBody("PUT",$url,$responseOut);
if ($success == 0) {
print $http->lastErrorText() . "\r\n";
exit;
}
$responseBody = $responseOut->bodyStr();
