AI in Schools: Understanding the importance of explainable AI in education

Francisco Bellas, professor at the University of A Coruña (UDC), has been researching artificial intelligence applied to different fields of engineering for 25 years, as well as teaching subjects related to machine learning and autonomous robotics. In this interview, he highlighted that people should not rely on AI systems without questioning the output, and that explainable AI helps in this case to increase human oversight over AI responses.
