Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri shares dating update saying 'I want to get married'

The former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri walked away from the show with Andrew Le Page in 2022 and after their relationship came to an end earlier this year, she has revealed that she's ready to find love again

Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri has opened up about one part of her personal life, admitting that she is open to finding love again soon — and even revealed that she plans to one day tie the knot. Having made her name on series eight of Love Island,Tasha made it all the way to the final before finishing in fourth place with Andrew Le Page.

Since then, she has fulfilled what she has previously described as a "dream come true" after being selected to compete in last year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.

But after making it all the way to the final, she was pipped to the famous Glitterball trophy at the last hurdle by stand-up comedian Chris McCausland and his dance partner, Dianne Buswell.

While Chris became the first blind contestant to win the show, Tasha also made history, as she was only the second deaf person to compete on the BBC programme.

However, amid her success on the reality TV show, Tasha was experiencing a difficult time in her personal life, after it came to light that her relationship with Andrew Le Page had come to an end.

Previously speaking about the break-up on an episode of the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, she gave an insight into why their relationship ended, saying: "My head was kind of saying, ‘stay in it, just trust it, it will change,’ but it didn’t, and that’s where we had to sit down and think, ‘am I going to be happy in 10 years' time, five years' time, two years' time?’"

But with her break-up now seemingly behind her, she has insisted that she is ready to find love again, recently telling Heat magazine: "I feel ready to open those doors again and start dating."

She even said that she has her sights set on marriage and starting a family in the future: "At some point, I do want to get married and have kids — that's still my goal."

As the interview went on, she said that marriage is something she has always wanted and that she is especially eager for her nan to one day see her walk down the aisle, adding that she is her "best friend."

Having been unable to hear until she was five, Tasha had communicated entirely using BSL until that point.

But her hearing was dramatically improved after being fitted with a cochlear implant — an electronic device fitted behind the ear to help people with severe hearing loss perceive sound.
