Setting Qualifying Standards

CSMLS conducts exams and issues certifications in general medical laboratory technology, diagnostic cytology, clinical genetics, and for medical laboratory assistants.

Competency Profiles

The CSMLS provides competency profiles for each of the certified disciplines. The examinations are competency-based exams, focusing on the application of knowledge not simply ‘textbook’ learning.
