I'm only looking for friends. Messages that disregard that boundary will not be responded to. I don't like being so rude, but people can't take a hint ::shrug::
I have a personality that is charitably described as quirky. I can be and often am a total goofball. I can be adult when the situation calls for it...I suppose. I'm also fairly assertive: I don't have many qualms about expressing my opinion, in a tactful manner.
I love music--mainly classical, and indie/alternative, and am an insatiable reader. I enjoy cooking, but I'm not as proficient as I would like to be. I watch more TV than I should, which mostly consists of cartoons and crime dramas/procedurals. I enjoy going to museums/the DSO, but rarely have the opportunity.
I'm working on a psych degree, which is taking longer than I would like, but I'm something like a Spanish class and some trained rats away from a BA. Being in psych has made me painfully self-aware and analytical, but it also keeps me grounded.
I think that's sufficient...naturally, one can always ask for clarification.

A message board discussion on personality in BDSM has given me a research project idea...gender performativity in kink. I could use the intellectual stimulation, but I have a feeling that despite my hard-on for critical theory/postmodern feminism, the endeavor will end up on my list of things I start and never finish. We'll see.

I'm having a lot more fun this time around on CM...meeting some very cool people. There are the occasional...misguided ones though. To nerd out a little, they remind me of when Mr. Collins proposes to Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice...she totally spurns him, and he's convinced that she's just being coy. Friends only means friends only. If something sparks in the context of friendship, that's one thing, but deliberately ignoring my boundaries will SO not get you in my pants...well-executed references to Adult Swim cartoons might though....
