This deserves a rant:
I've been going into the video chat room. It can be entertaining, there are some good chatters there ..but it's a chat room .. you know, conversation. OK, this is a D's site and everyone is totally enamoured of their roles and their rules and their definitions. I do try to repsect that. Such as, don't whisper chat to an owned sub. Fair enough.
But I don't go into that room, or any other chat room, for sex or a hook up or for a date, I think that's moronic. I go into the chat room when I'm bored and want to chat. Sometimes people put on shows, sometimes I watch, sometimes I comment, sometimes I couldn't care less
Sometimes I get into a friendly banter with someone, sub or dom, it doesn't matter to me because it's only banter. And in the course of that converstation I may, for a second, forget etiquette and speak to an owned sub, whether public or whisper .. oh now things get lively. People forget that they're human, engaging in a very human activity, called chatting. The rules and roles come flying up like a barricade.
Hey here's a clue: If you are so overly concerned about people addressing you in an inappropriate way, don't come into a public room. You don't like someone commenting on your cam, don't permit them to view or again, don't cam in a public room
No one, in any context, should ever have to tolerate intentional rudeness or disrespect. But sometimes a bananna is just a bananna. Sometimes, in an attempt to make a little joke, you forget a freaking rule or two .. keep it in context. Fucking relax. Even in a true, strict D's relationship, allow yourself some fun. What's with all the fake photo's? Especially modelling shots lifted from websites, it's pretty easy to spot a professionally posed/shot pic and it's not difficult to follow the tags to the source. People who are online .. well, we understand online. Is this supposed to fool us? If you don't want to show a pic, so be it, but putting up something so blatantly fake is just disrespectful
