Our past is the foundation of our future and makes us who we are as individuals today. I am not ashamed of my past, I like who I have become and who I am evolving into and I would not change even a moment of my past because it would mean loosing that which I have already become. I’ve learned to love myself and others, to have compassion, to refrain from judging others, to be open minded about individual choices, to look before I leap (still working on this one), to cherish the little things that life has to offer, to embrace the hardships and ride out the storm, and to appreciate all the people and things that are good in the life I have now.
I am generally a dominant person though I have a tendency to show otherwise because I can be quiet and withdrawn in large crowds and around people I don’t know or am not comfortable with so please do not mistake this as me being submissive in anyway because you’ll find out quickly and not so politely, that I am not; I’m tiny and have a quiet roar but I am fierce and have a nasty bite.
I am stubborn as hell and I always want things my way. I am tremendously picky about who & what I share and with whom I share him/her/it with, when my mind is made up there is no one and nothing that can change it, emotionally I am chaos and my moods fluctuate like Ottawa’s weather, I do not condone violence that is not consensual, and I am fiercely protective and loyal to those I care about and respect. I love being on a pedestal and if you want me to treat you like an equal then you come up to my level because I won’t come down off my high horse. This does not mean I don’t respect anyone but my respect, like my trust, is earned overtime and not automatically given; demanding my respect because you believe it’s owed to you or you expect it for whatever reason will only cause me to ignore your existence.
I have an abundance of patience for almost everything but I have none for social politics and drama, there is more than enough drama in my own life that I don’t need everyone else’s added to it. I truly believe that people who purposely stir up shit and instigate drama should be permanently gagged, all pedophiles should be castrated, all murderers and serial killers should be put down in the same manner they took life away. I speak my mind and have a habit of being bluntly honest, I abhor beating around the bush and sugar coating so if you have something to say to me regardless of the subject or issue just say it because I won’t waste my time trying to read between the lines. I respect everyone’s individual lifestyle choices and beliefs and I expect the same respect from others, I do not wish to be preached at or be converted nor do I preach at or try to convert others.
I enjoy most styles of music, I love to dance and sing but given that I inherited my mother’s voice I sound like a screaming banshee so it’s doubtful that anyone will be unlucky enough to hear me; on the off chance you do, just plug your ears and run in the opposite direction. I am an avid reader, mostly fantasy, but I’m also a sponge for knowledge so I’ll pretty much read any non-fiction book I can get my hands on.
