Second only to the question of ?What do you do with someone once you have them tied up?? is the question I hope to answer here. Why do I enjoy binding flesh?
The answers to that one question for me could probably fill a book. Each person I tie is unique and diverse and has something to share and to be gained from our connection at that particular moment.
I?m a very logic oriented person. Very binary, ones and zero?s kind of guy. If you give me an object, my first instinct is to analyze it, determine the quality with which it is made and then go about figuring out how it works. The same goes for a person who desires to be in my rope. I want to know the unique qualities that person has and what brought them to the point in life they are at now. I can touch their skin and read parts of their past. Scars, freckles, tattoos??each tell a story that my rope allows me to explore. A way to find out how that person works.
I uncoil my rope and run it through my hands. I check for burrs, stray objects and pull the twists from it. I?m also forming a connection, between the rope and myself. When that first lay of rope is across the person?s skin that connection transfers to them. I check the lay of the rope and for twists that would pinch. I have a feeling I want to give to each person that I bind and to push and pull them into the design that I see. As the binding continues, there is always that connection between myself and the rope and the bottom. The energy stored in that rope from all the lovers, bottoms, switches, and even the tops whom I?ve shown a tie or two to use on their own, stays with me in each strand of hemp or MFP or spun silk or bamboo.

"When we quit thinking primarily about ourselves and our own self-preservation, we undergo a truly heroic transformation of consciousness."

The Velveteen Rabbit:
"...Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you..."
"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.
"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful.
"When you are Real, you don't mind being hurt... It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. Thats why it doesn't happen to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand." |
