If you want to be a slave and be truly enslaved, you must show Him your inner strength as well as your unquestioning trust. If you wish be found pleasing to Him, you must struggle to please Him and not yourself. If you wish to devote your life to Him, you must learn that your role is not as his peer. If you would consider yourself His, are you prepared to be slave even when it's not easy or fun? If you call yourself slave, will you obey even in fury or tears? Do you eliminate the “if's” from your vocabulary, and realize that slavery is not conditional? A slave gives from the heart; she doesn't consider it a "gift". It's not all wrapped up in rainbows and pink ribbons. It's bound in determined sacrifice and decorated with her tears of pain, effort and bliss. It's the sheerest, most primitive, raw expression of self she can give. She gives only what is left, after the pride and defenses crumble and she is left exposed to His eyes. She gives herself, because she could not imagine not giving to Him. She is bound by her own need, as strongly as the steel around her neck. You have no right to expect to be respected, to expect love in “return” for your slavery. You have nothing to expect, except that He will do as He pleases. You have no right to censor your slavery, or your thoughts or deeds. Are you ready to be treated as a slave? Are you ready to put His happiness above your own? Do you put aside your own desires and accept that they will only be fulfilled if He chooses to do so? Are you ready to strive always to please, and to not grow lazy and ride on past successes? Do you have the ability to lose your selfishness, your sense of looking after yourself first? Can you leave your pride behind? Consent is given once, when the collar is begged. For a slave, there are no limits or conditions on consent. Everything is given then, in that one moment, when a girl crawls to beg for ownership, regardless of whether it is denied or not. Consent doesn't involve negotiating; a power you gave up the moment you felt his ownership. You have no power once you surrender all. Never give what is most sacred to you, if you cannot trust this Person with your life. Never forget, it's not about you anymore. Never lose sight that it is a privilege to be owned, and a huge responsibility to Him that owns you. Never forget to be grateful if He does take you as His possession. Can you be truly, hopelessly, absolutely owned? Are you worth being owned? Only He knows. Ownership is not taken lightly by either side. ---------------------------------- By definition, a 'slave' is a piece of (movable) personal property (a.k.a. "chattel") owned by another person. A slave can be bought, sold or traded. While a slave may be cherished and cared for, a slave can also just as easily be misused and abused. Of course, an owner can love their slave; nothing in the book says that an owner cannot love their slave. However, slavery does not require love. Slavery is about control: the utter and total domination and control over another human being's life. Slavery is also about responsibility: the utter and total responsibility of another human being's life. There are only two basic elements required of slavery: 1.) a slave. 2.) an owner who is willing to accept the responsibility of the possession of a slave. For the would-be slave trust may be an issue prior to slavery, but it is an illusion. Physical attraction may be an issue prior to slavery, but it is an illusion as well. In fact, everything and anything a would-be slave requires or desires, apart from their true and total commitment to actually being a real, owned slave, is an illusion. Slavery is NOT about "romance". Sure, an Owner could romance and seduce a slave if they chose to, but romance and seduction are not "part and parcel" of slavery itself. Slavery is about Ownership and servitude; any other element involved is something other than, or in addition to, slavery. If a "slave" insists upon a requirement or a condition for, or on, their Ownership; they are seeking something other than slavery (OTS). Yes, it all sounds so terrifically unfair, doesn't it? An Owner can require and involve whatsoever they like in the 'relationship' and a slave must endure and indulge whatever an Owner's whim might be. There is nothing at all that a slave can claim 'entitlement' to; however, in an effort to demonstrate this, here is an extraordinarily brief list of things a slave is specifically NOT 'entitled' to:...... * Respect * Honesty * Loyalty * Affection * Compassion * Understanding * Appreciation * Courtesy * Recognition * Flattery * Approval * Consistency * Fair Treatment * Gratitude * Praise * Honor * Pleasure * Candor * Explanations * Kudos * Fidelity ...... If you demand, expect, or require any of the above, then, by the definitions and parameters, you CANNOT be a slave. I suggest you re-think what it is you want. Perhaps you could find a nice Dominant (Dom or Domme) on Collarme.com or Bondage.com who you can share the PRETEND FANTASY that you are a slave with. Slaves don't get a vacation, 'personal' days or 'time off' for being sick. Well, they could if they were granted such by their Owner, but they have no entitlement to such things. As a real slave you will be expected to (and here's the shocking part) actually be a slave. A real slave will be expected to be a slave 24/7/365. This is one more point as to why slavery is not for everyone; or even most people for that matter. If you are thinking: "Hey, I want to be a slave." BUT you want recognition for your service, you want to be rewarded for your efforts, you want to be treated with 'fairness', you want some variety or flavor of 'equality', you want respect, compassion and appreciation then you want something other than slavery. What you are probably looking for is to Role-Play the part of a slave in an OTS (Other Than Slave) relationship. Food for thought!
