My name is Mark Varley, I'm a Photographer specialising in Fetish, BDSM, Bondage, Erotica, Artistic Nudes & Figure Nudes, that's my day-job
I'm also a Rope Bondage Rigger which includes rigging for photo & video shoots, teaching and retail of rope and associated hardware for bondage.
However I'm not just here for work, BDSM is also a huge part of me personally, lots more info below...
A big part of my work is teaching rope bondage, if you would like to learn, even at novice level, get in touch. My 1-2-1 tuition is tailored to your individual needs, interest, experience, etc.
I'm currently looking for:
- Bondage practice models. Both male and female & different shapes and sizes. For practising and developing new bondage ties and techniques. If you (or your sub/slave) enjoy being tied up just for the sake of being in rope, then I'd like to borrow your body!
- Male Tuition Model. A male model with a good body and average-to-large cock. For my tuition clients to learn how to tie general bondage and genital bondage, clients could be male or female.
- Photography Models (male, female, couples).For general photography or specific projects I am always looking for new people to photograph, no experience is necessary, in return you get copies of the photos plus more depending on the project. I'm currently shooting General Bondage, Female Genital Bondage, Explicit Erotica. All of my photography is artistic in nature, I don't do porn or glamour.
- Video Models, I'm making bondage instructional videos for youtube, I will mostly be using people close to me but for variety I'm also looking for other female and male models, requires both nudity and clothed (nude videos are a restricted audience).
- Personally I'm not currently looking for anyone, but I'm happy to chat to new people.
Photography
Most people know me from my photography, I've been a professional photographer since 2004 specialising in Artistic Nudes, Figure Nudes, Erotica, Bondage and Fetishes, my work is split between shooting my own projects and shooting commissions which are in turn split between shooting of clients and shooting for clients. My own projects are what you will mostly see uploaded online and they are normally published as books. I often use models (both amateur and professional) as well as regular people for my projects, some require a range of people and are sometimes community projects. If you are interested in being photographed by me you can either enquire about being involved in one of my projects or hire me to photograph you however you like (within the genres I specialise in).
Bondage
I'm also well known for my bondage which features heavily in my own photography and I also rig for other photographers and videographers for anything from high-fashion to artistic projects down to bondage-porn. I'm entirely self-taught and have been tying people up since I was 15, I started doing it professionally in 2005 when I both started teaching formerly and began using it in my photography, before then it was all 'personal'.
As well as tying for photographers, videographers and performers I also teach bondage, also to photographers but also to private clients, primarily couples, I usually teach decorative functional bondage on both men and women but I usually tailor my tuition to each client and their individual interests etc.
An additional service I am starting in 2016 is Bondage Assessment, if you are unsure of your skill level or you want someone to vouch for your ability to prospective submissives then I will give you an hours assessment covering theory and practice of basic information and techniques, assuming I am satisfied with your competence and ability I'll give a reference to any submissives you direct my way, it's not a guarantee of safety but it's something to help with that initial nervousness from submissives in those situations, it's something I have done a number of times before for my tuition clients so I decided to extend it.
Of course I am still teaching bondage as before, singles couples and small groups, I am now specialising in Male Genital Bondage following extensive research and exploration whilst working on a recent book, it's an interesting and popular area that isn't well covered. So if you are a photographer or videographer, professional dominant or just a regular person, I'm here to teach you.
I'm also a professional dominant, my main service there is Bondage, it can be hard for people to find a safe and competent person to tie them up partly due to the inherent vulnerability that comes with it, so you can come to me and experience a range of bondage styles/activities, set your own limits and know you will be looked after throughout.
Finally on the Bondage front, I have started making instructional videos for YouTube (search for BeautifulBondage or find links on my website), I am regularly asked how ties in my photos are done and I spend a lot of time writing out explanations, so I have decided to make videos and share them more widely, I'm starting with some basics that my tuition clients most often want to learn but in time it will expand eventually to cover everything I know (but that could take a while).
People often ask about my books (usually with a view to learning about bondage) and although my first book was a mix of how-to bondage and pretty photos of boobs 'n' ropes, the rest are not great for learning from (ok, that one wasn't great for learning from either), once you have the basics my books on bondage are great sources of ideas and inspiration, I try to always have variety in my work so I am always inventing new ties or new ways to do old ties so a flick through any of by books on bondage before you do some yourself will fill your mind with ideas, you just need some basic skills in order to copy or be inspired to do something similar. All of my books are primarily intended to be beautiful and interesting to look through so if you have an appreciation for photography of the nude or bondage as an art form in itself then you will enjoy any of my books, and an appreciation of bondage as an art form will help you enjoy my bondage books a little more.
But what about learning bondage? My first advice is, I teach bondage!, second to that are my videos coming to youtube but finally books, I do own (I think) every book on bondage, Midori's books are good for 'classic' bondage, the knotty boys are good for decorative, but the ones I recommend are by Douglas Kent, not only are they the only books that I learnt something from but I think the way they are laid-out and the way they explain is great for complete beginners.

Please note that both my personal life and my work life are forever intertwined within BDSM, this profile is for me the person, these are the things I do, I'm not trawling for paid work, I don't need to, I'm just presenting my whole self and it'd be ridiculous to try to exclude my work, it'd be impossible to choose where to draw the line between the two anyway.
I'm very happy for people to contact me through here for any of my professional services, but if I contact you I'm not spinning a line or trying to make a sale, people presuming that to be the case are jumping to conclusions, maybe because of all the spam we all get on here.
I did consider creating an incognito profile with no mention of my work but that would be hugely misleading for anyone getting involved with me, in the past I have had the problem of people wanting to 'friend' me because I'm very well known in some circles, but on balance I'm just being myself, here, this is me.
While I'm writing about this, I have had several people tell me that they felt intimidated about contacting me, for both personal and professional interest, because my personal tastes can seem extreme or they see the attractiveness of the girls I work with and feel inferior, so I'd like to address those points;
Firstly as an example, impact play, I can and do hit very very hard, I can leave significant bruising and other damage, but that isn't my goal, as satisfying as seeing bruises linger can be that's not the reason I enjoy it, it's about the connection, seeing that person taking pain and suffering for me, my sadistic side enjoys seeing that and my dominant side enjoys seeing that, but a hardcore masochist and a timid wuss could be equally satisfying, when I take them close to whatever their pain tolerance is, severe beating or tweaked nipple, so see their body react to the pain, to see them take it for me as a submissive act, that is where the connection and enjoyment is.
Secondly, yes, I'm very lucky to work with a great many very attractive women, I have worked with hundreds of the countrys and worlds more beautiful women over the last dozen years, and there are two things I have to say, 1, beauty really is only skin deep, an aesthetically beautiful woman isn't necessarily a beautiful person, let alone a compatible one, among models there are as many varieties of people as the population generally, and when you are spending more than a couple of hours with a woman you're not having a good time if you don't get along with her personality, so while I will choose the more aesthetic women for most of my photography projects, that's as far as it goes, the only reason that so many of my submissives over the years have been models is because I meet more models than I meet any other people, aside from making beautiful photographs the novelty of a beautiful body has well and truly worn off. and 2, models aren't the visions of perfection you see in finished images anyway, they're surprisingly normal, from the hundreds of women I have worked with I can remember only a handful who I'd say had no aesthetic flaws (and they would disagree as every woman sees her flaws, even when there are none), most models are of average attractiveness plus they have some other quality that makes them good to photograph, and that varies hugely. additionally; 3, a good part of my work involves photographing people who aren't models, either for some of my community-based projects or my clients who hire me to photograph them, and although a small number are a challenge by far the majority are little different from working with a novice model, they look perfectly fine, they just need some advice on how to pose etc.
So if you are feeling intimidated about contacting me, either because you are interested in me personally or want to be photographed by me, consider what I've written above, if you interest me personally it will be because your submissive personality is compatible with me, if you don't it will probably be because it doesn't, and if I photograph you, you will see photos of how I see you, which is probably quite different from how you see yourself. |
